I agree, something has to be done, I mean there are rumours floating around now that the WHOLE ALBUM is available, that's just going too far, if it is indeed true, and Uncle Axl finds out, rest assured there will be consequences, i.e an even further delay of CD

stop new members from joining.. disable the PM system... and only allow members with 5 stars acess to the board. or at least members with 3 or more stars. Do this until the album is out.

Interesting view there D, but I disagree. When you start censoring what gets said around here, thats when these songs will hit kazaa and limewire, and then millions will be exposed to the demos. Right now, its just us. I think sanctuary should change their mind, and tell the forums they can listen to the songs. This strange universe that is existing through the PM system is unreal.

In another thread of yours, you mentioned not being able to resist temptation when/if another leak occurs. I feel the same. We dont want to ruin the album, but we also dont want to miss out on new material. Its like a horrible car wreck. You know you shouldn't look, but you want to see the juicy stuff. :hihi:

I agree with you about stopping new members. There are ALOT of nobs here, and they have been cluttering up the forum with insults and meaningless threads.

The way I see it is that even if the songs get leaked on the forum they will go to limewire anyways... Better is there.. im sure theres IRS and TWAT too.

It seems unstoppible either way. I was very pro-"stop the demos" earlier.. but I wasn't aware of the magnitude of the PM's James just mentioned.

The only way to slightly hitch em would be to make the whole board read only and disable PM's.

Leaks are gonna happen if they happen, I guess we just have to have will power and not worry bout everyone else's experience and just not download em and wait.

....That's if you want to slow down leaks, stopping them is near impossible, they'll be put out there through some website, through e-mails or some file-sharing program.

If the band want to slow them down or counter them then they should make an announcement.  Whenever anything leaks i do listen to it and i will continue to do so, because i have no idea when the album will come out.

Now if they gave an official release date, then i would stop listening to the leaks.

That comment Dizzy's wife gave about the opening of Christmas presents (or something like that...) on December 23rd was quite a stupid one, because we're yet to get conformation that Christmas is coming this year.

My point was when Dizzy's wife came up with the whole opening your Christmas presents on the 23rd of December comment, the reason that comment is stupid is you know on the 23rd of December you have only 2 days to go 'til Christmas.....

....We haven't even received conformation our Christmas (Chinese Democracy...) is even coming this year, so i will listen to demo's until somebody gives us an Official Date for Christmas ;)

That idea would work but there are many other places where people can get the songs so it would in fact only work here.

these ideas seem pretty unrealistic to me, but it`s the only possibility to stop the leaks though. if all the gnr boards get shot down, i seriously believe there won`t be any new leaks until the real CD leaks...

it`s very utopistic though... and considering there`s just CITR missing to leak and everyone here knows about it yet, it`s useless either...

You guys seriously think these boards are the only place where they can leak the demos/whatever? Theres already "CD Demo" torrents on the P2P networks which have all the newest demos, youtube has all the demos, why wouldn't people leak them there instead?
The whole internet should be shut down, which unfortunately even Axl can't shut down.

People wait years for new music - and when it comes people complain they have it!!!!!!
