Title: Chinese Democracy to become the Jimi Hendrix Experience of our days!, yes or no
Post by: Dont Try Me on February 23, 2006, 04:29:05 PM
...know where I'm going?

Chinese Democracy will be the Jimi Hendrix Experience of our age!!! jimi hendrix was revolutionary for his days....back then some people didn't quite get it........... axl and his guns will have the same effect to a certain extend..... you either love it or not...., considering the mind-blowing.............sudden MOODSWINGS in songs........different SINGING styles........different guitar players with different styles...... CD will knock us out instantly, it will be an extrordenary musical adventure where we take a walk in the park at the beginning of a song........to suddenly be taken into the bushes and beeing ass-raped..... what the fuck just happened?? yep....a CHINESE DEMOCRACY song..

Considering the recent leaks, decide whether you agree with me or not!

yes or no..

No way in hell, but it will be a damn good album.  Just hearing the new leak of Better has made me want this album more than ever.

Sure not, Hendrix had more things to discover, everything he made was fresh... Different momments, can't really compare.

With Buckethead, abolutely not. Sorry.
Please dude, stop with this bashing. It's annoying...

In that sence I don't think people will take into the CD as much as Hendrix's shit.. Hendrix is Hendrix.. CD will not have that kind of impact.

I'd say it'd be more like Led Zeppelin of the early 21st century.
As a matter of course It's not 1970 and GNR is GNR.

New hybrid monsters are about to debut.
Apparently each of them has a clear cut individuality and is drop dead gorgeous.  :peace:

I don't think anything is going to touch what went on in the 60's and 70's. The album can be big but that's up to the record buying public - many of whom have forgotten about gnr or need to be introduced to them because they're too young to have really been into them in the 90's.

No way, Hendrix was something competley different at the time.

The tracks we've heard off of Chinese Democracy are all really good, but they're not anything ground breaking.  They all have elements taken from different gernes of music, Hendrix created his own.

I think it?s a pretty bad analogy... Hendrix exploded out of nowhere, playing like no-one else before. Axl is a really well-known singer of a pretty-well known band that?s decades old. He?s considered a wacko and a has-been by some, and a talented musician by others; TONS of people have different expectations for CD. Nobody was EXPECTING Hendrix. He was different, that?s it.

Besides, if Axl does indeed explore new grounds with CD, they?ll be concerning songwritting and song structure, things like that. He won?t revolutionize singing, he won?t do what Jimi did for guitar playing. Hendrix the songwriter wasn?t ground-breaking. He had great songs with out-of-this-word playing, but nothing special in terms of composition per se.
