Title: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Mr.Intensity on February 23, 2006, 04:20:16 PM First of all, I need this live track so if anyone has a clean version, the one where Axl's voice sounds best, please pm me a yousendit link or post it here.
Secondly, have you all heard Buckethead's solo on this track, in my opinion this essentially became his song on the 2002 tour and I want to include it on my new guns n roses mix cd. Your thoughts on the solo if you heard it? Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Sakib on February 23, 2006, 04:21:29 PM i love the way bucket ends the solos. if you want song links, go to the Appetite For Collection section where it's full of downloads.

I did, I can't find any there that are working. :( Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Mr.Intensity on February 23, 2006, 04:25:55 PM I apologise, I finally found one that works.
I am  in anticipation of hearing it for the first time in a couple years!!! Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: zombux on February 23, 2006, 04:26:49 PM yes, the best song of 2001/02 tour.
Vegas 01 - great Axl's voice RIR3 - fantastic guitar work! Leeds 02 - nice Buckethead's solo Pukkelpop 02 - maybe the most different from original version, very recommendable though Pittsburgh 02 - the best soundboard I think Boston 02 and Albany 02 - both very fine Buckethead's solos some downloads are at newgnr.com/newgnr in multimedia section, especially Pukkelpop and maybe Leeds videos Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Saul on February 23, 2006, 04:27:58 PM buckets solo on nightrain.
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: jmapelian on February 23, 2006, 04:29:29 PM toob ad buckets not in the band anymore  :hihi:
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: DunkinDave on February 23, 2006, 04:31:00 PM Pukkelpop 02 - maybe the most different from original version, very recommendable though That's because Axl fucked up the lyrics. Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Saul on February 23, 2006, 04:31:21 PM toob ad buckets not in the band anymore  :hihi: yeah :'( Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Mr.Intensity on February 23, 2006, 04:32:05 PM God, that solo is so fucking sick.... I'd love to hear that re-done in the studio.
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Ineverlearn000022 on February 23, 2006, 04:38:46 PM I like the solo, I even have it on video. BUT, it is no slash. Slash's solo sends me into a fucking craze that words can't even begin to describe. Also, Buckethead lacks the charisma of Slash that leaves you absolutly breathless. When you watch Slash lead the solo you know your watching a rock star.
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: KIKO2K6 on February 23, 2006, 04:39:53 PM buckets BRING THIS SONG TO ANOTHER LEVEL ?!!! FANTASTIC SOLO
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Mr.Intensity on February 23, 2006, 04:41:07 PM I like the solo, I even have it on video.? BUT, it is no slash.? Slash's solo sends me into a fucking craze that words can't even begin to describe.? Also, Buckethead lacks the charisma of Slash that leaves you absolutly breathless.? When you watch Slash lead the solo you know your watching a rock star.? Dude, you're not hearing what buckethead does too it......... it's absolutely amazing. I like Slash better, I admit.. but Buckethead made this song his on the 2002 tour. Ohh and When Buckethead is doing his solo he doesn't have kneel over or act all into it like a rock star... he is robotical about his ways and thats part of his gimmick..... Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: scawl18 on February 23, 2006, 04:43:58 PM I like slash better to...But i saw the video on www.newgnr.com i think leeds...buckethead was INSANE on "nightrain" i had goose bumps.
Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: Ineverlearn000022 on February 23, 2006, 04:44:16 PM Unfortuantly that's not why people pay to see GnR live.
His gimmick is lame. Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: jmapelian on February 23, 2006, 11:06:32 PM i love guitarists that need gimmicks
in the same breath you have page/plant, jagger/richards, tyler/perry, ozzy/randy, ozzy/toni, ozzy/Wylde, slash/axl buckethead/KFC??? notice how many times Ozzy is there? Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: ShotgunBlues1978 on February 23, 2006, 11:10:43 PM Buckethead doesn't need a gimmick. The sad thing is that people are so closeminded, if he played the exact same way but went by Brian Carroll and wore leather pants, cowboy boots and a black t-shirt on stage a lot of his haters would probably love the guy

The sad thing is that people are so closeminded, if he played the exact same way but went by Brian Carroll and wore leather pants, cowboy boots and a black t-shirt on stage a lot of his haters would probably love the guy I doubt that :peace: Title: Re: 2002 Nightrain Post by: SecondSucks on February 23, 2006, 11:44:10 PM BH's Nightrain solo at Leeds '02 is freaking incredible. Easily one of my favorite soundbytes/clips from the new band.
