In related news, former GNR bassist Duff McKagan will take part in the upcoming Decades Rock Live tribute to the band Heart. The event takes place March 10th in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and McKagan will perform with the band Alice In Chains, whose surviving members will reunite at the show. The proceedings will be shown on VH1 Classic at a later date. The band will perform with Comes With the Fall frontman William DuVall ? a member of Cantrell's touring band. And DuVall could, theoretically, be part of the Alice in Chains fold come this summer. "We've done some rehearsing with Will and we're having a lot of fun with him," Cantrell said. "But we're still in the beginning stages where we're trying to figure out what we want to do. He could cut it, without a doubt ? but we haven't made a final decision on that yet." I love AIC and I thought Layne Staley was a great frontman. Love his voice. How different would Will be though? Black, fro, and looks happy. Staley always looked depressed and fucked up. I hope the AIC guys have fun and think about making another record. Maybe under a diff. name but don't really care. I figure as long as they have Jerry Cantrell they should kick ass.
