Title: The IT-era 2006 and the leaked tracks.
Post by: Siliconmessiah on February 19, 2006, 11:44:21 AM
The tides of time change.

We now live in an era of extreme information. We are being bombarded with so much info, that our brains can?t even cope with it.
If anyone wants to, on the internet, anybody can get anything.

It?s a time where all information is getting free.
Much (In fact all) of the responsibility rests on the IT-users shoulders.
The Internet is the most powerful media in the world.

Apparently, an individual somewhere in the world, the lase couple of days, have misused The Internet.
To publish someones personal work of art, before it?s official, is (in my opinion) a sad act of ignorance.
It is a big shame. A big, big shame that these "demos" started leaking.

I make music on my own. Sometimes I play and sing.
If someone laid their hands on my tapes and released it to people in my vincinity. Or in secrecy made a copy, I would?ve been very upset.
That person would not be my friend anymore.

Guns n Roses is a great band. Axl Rose is a great singer/entertainer.
But please, please.
Neither Axl Rose or anybody else around Guns & Roses, has any obligations towards anyone. Nor does he "owe" his fans anything.
He?s just an artist, doing what the hell he wants to do. Living his live, doing his work.

He should only be critizised when releasing material, and doing live shows.
Apparently, some people cannot accept that.

This leak is a huge strike to the heart of a hard working artist.
Don?t like it...I don?t like this shit at all.

Agree. For all the people crying or bitching that Axl will be upset, or that you feel his pain (cos you know your a little obsessed with him) get over it cos there is nothing you can do to stop it and these threads do nothing but clog up the forum.

No, didn?t you read my whole post??
Axl Rose just an artist/entertainer trying to do his work. And I, as a huge listener to music, happen to be quite interested in what there is to come.
But to leak something unfinished, behind the creators back, is something anyone would and should despise.
