Maybe he played the disc for the Grillmaster in order to ensure his steak was prepared "black and blue" (best way to have a steak, btw, in my opinion)

Axl still being in NYC could be a good thing, though.  Since Sanctuary is also in NYC - and it does kind of seem like Merck is a bit busy.. you know, not telling radio stations to stop playing songs and stuff.  Maybe he.. has his hands full with business dealings with the red headed one?  (Not even gonna use the recluse term this time - too many public outings for that to apply, for now)

Its all pure speculation, of course.

Just as a point of info for everybody:? The Post tends to post things days or weeks or months even after it happens, so since they didn't say when Axl was actually sighted, I'd tend to believe it happened around the same time he was here for the Richard show and that it doesn't necessarily mean he's still here.? :-\

Stirling Sound (the famous mastering studio) is in NY. Perhaps Axl is there getting the album mastered. I believe that Appetite was also mastered there.

Well fellas, because of this NY Post small article we can assume that Axl is still in NY.  This could potentially be a good thing or a bad thing.

Axl came to NY for his bday and the Victorias Secret thing that Richard was playing at.  At least that is what is believed at this point to be the case.  Now if you think for a second, where is GNR's band management located?  Thats right, Sanctuary (and Merck in particular) are located in NYC.  Now in my opinion this could mean one of two things (or both).

1) Axl is in NYC planning a statement, discussing the release of Chinese Democracy, press conferences, etc. with Merck and other top management.

2) Axl is furious with this leak and it trying to get to figure out who leaked his music out. 

I am curious to know what others may think about this.  Any thoughts?

nah I know that could definitely be the case already.  Just seems to me that with what is going on right now that Axl would be spending some time with his management.  Even if originally just visiting was his only intent.

Maybe he's with Lawyers and Management cuz of Radios stations playing the songs? Maybe mastering CD, Maybe Hanging out with Richard, Maybe site seeing :hihi: Who knows, I personally don't care, I don't want Paparazzi action on Axl, that's just dumb, So what he ate a fucking steak, big deal maybe he went there while all flights were grounded last week. We don't know exactly what day that happened do we?

Steak is good.  He needs his strength for a possible album release/tour. :beer:

This is very true....this doesn't mean hes in NYC at all.  infact, by not mentioning WHEN this sighting occured, I think its safe to say it is pretty old (thats just how the NY Post works).

Has-beens are people who've had their time and aren't doing anything else, and won't do anything else, but still think of themselves as the way they were when they were in their prime. The sort of people who appear on Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here....

Axl is nowhere NEAR where the people who appear on those shows are! He's doing something, he's still a major public figure, and the next album which is so close to being released, is being talked about everywhere!

Axl Rose is not, nor has ever BEEN a has-been. He still hasn't even peaked! :beer:

Probably due to the fact that Merck is in NY.  As well as MTV, VH1, and most news outlets.

with all the leaks and him being in NY for this amount of time Id say something is gonna happen SOON!
