Title: Me thinks TWAT=Prostitute Post by: Minneapolisnewsman on February 18, 2006, 03:18:20 AM Prostitute, the song that Axl struggled with in the studio for quite sometime, according to everyone who has touched this project, would be an appropriate title for this song. While TWAT is popular on this board, it is being crucified at other locations. I would not send this out to any radio stations or other boards, this is not the sound the band wants heard as they begin their comeback trek. I think that we should view this one as our little present, and maybe that is why we have it ;) I think Merck and Axl have some big plans on how to catch the masses ears!
Will hit some contacts up for some real news, from the coast, and see if there are any rumblings of an official announcement regarding the release date. better is prostitute!! i just had a sudden inspiration... it all fits.. eddie trunk said that there`s a lot of bucket`s shredding on it ( better will probably have a mind-blowing solo, there`s a taste of it at 1:23 after the chorus...) and well... we never heard of the title before, maybe prostitute was just the working title and wasn`t very radio conform.... just a theory though.... I am well aware of the different working titles. ?Although, this song seems like a metaphor for the Youth period, when the self indulgence was running rampant. ?This song is convoluted, and already as a demo, overproduced. ?The feeling that could go with these phenomenal lyrics is stripped by overproduction and overthinking. ?No doubt Axl can find a melody, but sometimes less is more. |
