First, i wanna say that thease songs are AMAZING! They are so great! Second; i wanna give u a great tips, to get the best out of the songs, USE HEADPHONES! The songs are 50% better then on a normal stereo! i promise u! Some may say this was a usless thread, but u will thank me when
you have tried using the songs on your mp3player, ipod or whatever!

and one more thing. I hope this is the last leaks we get! i feel kind of sad on GNR. Anyway! we are not aginst them, we are with them! So please! The one holding on to the unheard songs, dont leak them... The leaks have prooved that this new GNR can make music, few rockbands on this planet do today!

Yeah, stereo is generally better than computer speakers.

The optimal setup would be to play the songs through a surround sound environment (5.1).

I already did. I usually get more out of songs when I use the headphones.

i had no idea what the singing during the better intro was saying until i used headphones

also it makes the stereo seperation waaay more noticible which is cool

yeah is true you can hear lil details that you dont normally hear in the PC speakers..
in better in the beggining you can hear a beatiful electronic background and  awesome keyboards

the songs sound like shite through my stereo system. probably due to the not-quite-finished mixing. but they sound awesome in headphones!!

These tracks are in 2.0 Stereo. Using a 5.1 system would only create an environment that is not intended. There are no discrete sounds set for the centre, rear or sub, only left and right channels.

Using headphones is the best, but it also clarifies the low quality of the demo's as well.

Nonetheless, these songs are amazing. To those I have shared them with, who are NOT GN'R fans, they have all loved them!

All I have been using is headphones when listening to these songs.

Well, the thing is, i was listening to this song when i was on my way to the store, to get some Dahls beer. And Damn! Ok, i have one more important story, ill post it later, but it is pretty amazing... Things are happening.. say no more!

Something I already mentioned over at the Mygnrforum ... Something I discovered by accident: Provided you are all using windows media player,while listening to "Better",head over to the graphic equalizer (under enhancements in the top left corner) and flip the balance all the way to the left.Seriously,you haven't heard Axl sing that amazing intro until you've tried it like this.That lead guitar line in the beginning is much too distracting and sounds much better (in my opinion) without it.

So try it out and judge for yourselves.

i listened on headphones. makes me think that better is actually the studio version intended for release. That could be why we dont have the whole clip yet? When r we gonna get the rest anyway? and another thing, somebody bought it to my attention that its a long weekend in usa, Is that right? not a bad idea but I'd prefer separate stereo and surround release. Porcupine Tree did this at their last two albums, I think it should be done this way

nope hate to burst your bubble but it wouldnt be if it was recorded in stereo 2 channel format it would sound like ass and the imaging would go to hell

if its on a dvd hopefully its dts

but you need a dose of reality, you really need threads to say headphones will enhance the listening pleasure.. We all know every detail is heard better when the speaker is glued to your ears..

An MP3 file is not going to sound that good period!
