Title: "Velvet Revolver Share Their Feeelings" Post by: tomass74 on February 15, 2006, 09:33:02 PM VELVET REVOLVER have regular meetings to discuss any rifts or problems the bandmates might have, in a bid to keep the rock group mentally healthy.
SLASH, DUFF McKAGAN, MATT SORUM, SCOTT WEILAND and DAVE KUSHNER have experienced drink and drugs problems in the past, and had well-documented arguments with ex-bandmates in their former bands, which include GUNS N' ROSES and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS. Bassist McKagan explains, "We had a band meeting the other night to talk about business and just kinda take inventory, like, 'Is everybody cool with each other?' "And we toasted this thing that we've done, that we've done it on our own terms. And it was so powerful. We didn't say it, we didn't vocalise it, but you could tell it was also like - and we're all still alive. "When all five of us could have been dead. And we're not only alive, we're stronger than we were when we were 20 years old. It's freakin' great." source: contact music Title: Re: "Velvet Revolver Share Their Feeelings" Post by: Smoking Guns on February 15, 2006, 10:25:14 PM Why the fock did they have that type of meeting? They are obviously not working on the album if they have to have an emotional meeting like this. I think they had to have this because Duff and Slash want to team up wit Izzy and Axl. Am I crazy for saying that? Plus Scott couldn't seem farther from the VR camp.

Title: Re: "Velvet Revolver Share Their Feeelings" Post by: tomass74 on February 17, 2006, 03:42:01 PM I think it is healthy for any band to do this type of stuff... Not to the extent of Metallica with a shrink though, that's just lame.
