Title: emo? Post by: Railantics on February 07, 2006, 02:44:40 PM alright, im kinda wondering whether to go emo at the moment. my girlfriend has lectured me on the subjct on many occasions, and i think its quite cool. its a kinda mix between old school, rock and punk clothing...just slightly different. i know theres a lot of guys who think every emo loves life and is homosexual but not all of them are, at least im not. what are your vies on emos and emo fashion?
cheers, p.s its nice to be back! Title: Re: emo? Post by: *Izzy* on February 07, 2006, 02:55:59 PM Emo is a way of life, ask Jim about it. I wouldn't, I'd become a goth before I'd go emo, and it's an insult to homosexuals to associate them with this trend

Title: Re: emo? Post by: Hammy on February 07, 2006, 03:02:23 PM Seems fairly popular at the moment, my friends are kind of divided, at university a lot of my friends were really into the fashion and the music, whereas some of my others, myself included really disliked, one of my friends usernames on msn shows this:
I just planted some emo grass, i hope it cuts itself but seriously do what you want dude, i am not keen on the fashion (those God awful hair over one eye haircuts...) it's just not my thing, but there's nothing wrong with it, it's not like being a chav or anything, at the end of the day you#ve got to do what you want, if you like the music, like the fashion go for it your girlfriend liking it is a bonus, i fail to see how in anyway you can link it to old school rock though, to me it's just very poor punk clothing but like i said, i dislike it. Anyway do what YOU want. Emo is a way of life, ask Jim about it. I wouldn't, I'd become a goth before I'd go emo, and it's an insult to homosexuals? to associate them with this trend I thought Jim was a Goth, has he gone and changed again? :PTitle: Re: emo? Post by: AxlsMainMan on February 09, 2006, 06:33:05 PM Some of the music like My Chemical Romance, Finch, With Broken Wings, etc is really great when your drinking, or just having a goodtime, but I can tell you that here in Canada at least, emo is dying off quicker than Pokemon cards...
I think thatd beyond retarded that you have to change your fashion sense and appearance just too suit your girlfriend's tastes...How about saying, I think we need some individuality so people dont call us the "emo twins".... :hihi: To me, the "look" isn't even original either... They've just combined a retro punk look with a Flock of Seagulls haircut that every fuckin' emo wanker has now... Why cant you just be a fan of the music..? I mean, Im a fan of Gn'R but you dont see me wearing butt-less Chaps, or a Top Hat do you? :-\ Title: Re: emo?
