As much as an amazing performer Axl is it's pathetic how many tantrums he's had over the years, walking off stage and shit because something pissed him off or insulting fans, you wouldn't get John Lennon or fFreddie Mercury doing that. Also if you notice on the dvd Axl sort of hesitates whether or not to give him the finger. He brings his arm up slightly then thinks again and puts it down by his side. Then he must just have thought 'fuck it' and gave the guy the finger and told the security guard to throw him out. HARDCORE!

Post by: Carlos_f_Rose on February 04, 2006, 11:18:01 AM Slash is GNR for me because of the music he played the soul/the spirit the talent he left in the records, no one can replace him, not even these so talented Buckethead and the other two guitarrists, who are technically incredible but they dont have Slash's soul and passion to play those songs... November rain's solo played but Buckethead back in 2002, seemed like a cover band... Welcome to the jungle, it's so easy, and the other songs, all incredibly performed but without passion... like gilby said, something was missing...

If a buddy calls me and says MC or metallica is playing I already have the pictue in my mind of who should be there.. So the casual fan might have no fucking clue.. When oh my god hit the airwaves in 99 I heard gnr had a new song for arnold's movie, I assumed they patched things up or that someone besides axl was in the band.. Matt left after a row with Axl (you wouldn't belive this one), Gilby had only his pay checks not coming in to him so he sued Axl. He never got a letter from GNR camp that he was fired (trust me on this one. He told me last year.). Plus, it says in the Live ERA he was 'just' additional musician. Also, they all planed to leave so they signed a contract for careing Axl Rose, who cared for his fans and threatend he won't enter the stage as long as Slash and co don't sign the contract that night, that he could carry on with the GNR 'brand', well into the UYI tour. : ok: |
