Hey all, I'm working an extremely long-shot effort to get Axl Rose to perform at my wedding. I'm writing weekly letters to his manager and label, and I've started up a blog to rustle up support.

well, assuming by some miracle the guy does show up at your wedding... and he performs, and he dances with grandma, and he drinks champagne, etc.... do you really want what is supposed to be YOUR wedding day upstaged by a 40+ year old rock star who you would have just met that evening?  I am amazed that you convinced your wife to be to even let you try and get him to come. 

Good luck though, I have to admit it may be one of the more original ideas I have heard to get Axl out into the public.

hrm, i looked at your silly blog and read the first letter you sent to axl. 

i think he would be more inclined if you didn't insult him and say things like "We?re here when you want us, screwed when you don?t" and "the tour was canceled and I was left out to dry. A lot of your fans were left out to dry"

There's a very easy way to book Axl (and probably GnR)......pony up the cash.? Probably to the tune of a million bucks (start negotiations at 500k) plus travel and expenses, transportation, stage rental, equipment rental, security, and standard rider provisions....

Short of that, man...it's not just a longshot, it's a pipe dream.

I had extra invitations for my wedding back in September. So for the hell of it we shot Axl (and a few other random celebs) to our wedding just for the fun of it.

Madagascar88 had a lengthy one on one interview with Axl. Axl told him that he will do this wedding, but the location and date of the wedding are top secret. Axl gave him permission to tell his mygnr fan club this information, and horde it over all other forums.
