Title: Three guitarists
Post by: the dirt on January 13, 2006, 06:50:12 PM
Who will be dissapointed if there will not be three guitarists on the album. Personally, I was looking forward to some intricate guitar work by three different guitarists with different styles, and how they'd blend it all together. The potential for something interesting was there.

Who knows? For all we know the Bucket may have finished and his work will be on the album.

He may have been replaced for the live shows too. We just don't know shi?.

For sure..

I'm sure it will all be a mix, some songs there will be three guitars.. some two. Whether Buckets parts remain is another question. I'm not too fussed either way. I'm not interested in really hearing a certain guitarists styles etc. more Axl's overall ideas and the bands sound.

I think the three guitars really sounded awesome but I wouldn't be fussed what happens when they tour.

I miss for sure. Listening to Madagascar soundboard (pittsburgh one is better to hear), you can hear the three guitars doing the rhythm and a really cool guitar work in the whole song, wich sounds pretty good.

But some tunes might not have trhee guitars, like GunnerDownUnder said. I can't say for sure listening to the crappy quality of IRS, but I guess there's only two guitars on the song (I mean, two guitar players). The Blues also only have two guitars (Buckethead plays only the top chords ala Axl in Madagascar :hihi: ).

It's not like they would have to get another guitarist just to have 3 guitars on the album, remeber AFD has 3 guitars on it and they only had 2 guitarist,so I think it will sound cool either way : ok:

It's not the same. It's three different guitarist, each one with his own style.

yeah afd and uyi are different. these are 3 guys (2 of which seem interested in playing fidely-didely bullshit. but whatever) who are all different and have completely different sounds (to me). I'd prefer 2 guitarists and maybe some overdubs or whatever.
