Burzum- Aske

This album is simply pure (yet well controlled) hatred.

Slayer- Seasons in the Abyss. This is the greatest tweeker album ever made. In the good old days,  meth, teen sluts, and this album playing in the background  were always a perfect combination.

Read the subject: "in terms of raw, unadulterated emotion."

TDS would be in my top ten anyway.

Van Morrison-Astral Weeks

Bruce Springsteen-Born To Run

Jeff Buckley-Grace

NIN-Pretty Hate Machine

Peter Gabriel-Us

Are the ones off the top of my head.  Usally the more passionate albums are the first albums by that particular artist.

Use Your Illusion II, no contest. Other than Gn'R, I'll agree with the poster that said Nirvana Unplugged In New York.

Good choice.

I'll have to say The Wall. The songs are honest and full of emotion.

Also, Fiona Apple - When The Pawn...

Hole - pretty on the inside - pure, raw, driving angst and rage and gutter lyrics that I find very emotional

Also Nirvana Unplugged (the phrasing and song choices during this are pretty heart-stopping)

oh and "From the Choirgirl hotel" by tori amos as well.

Springsteen - Born to Run/Darkness on the Edge of Town/The River

U2 - Joshua Tree/Achtung Baby

GNR - Appetite/ UYI 2

Aerosmith - Rocks

Pink Floyd - The Wall/Dark Side/Animals (extremely underrated album, Dogs is a masterpiece)

Pearl Jam - Ten; a young, obscure band comes out with smoking, with fast, crisp riffs and blazing solos.  And Eddie Vedder sings as though he is possessed---  his unadulterated rage and passion can be heard on every track.  Every time I listen to this album, it makes me want to run through a brick wall!
