Title: I wonder how endorsments work amongst the "new" members? Post by: Saul on January 02, 2006, 02:26:38 PM I'm sure nobody has an answer to this I guess but I often wonder about it , see everytime I buy a guitar mag I see the ad's and I notice "Guns N Roses" are listed as users of ernie ball strings .. so I guess ernie ball sends "the band" tons of free strings. But how does this work? Does the free products get sent to ax himself , or do individual members also have them sent to them as well?
I'm kinda thinking the freebies go to axl and are kept at the studio or whatnot for use on the equipment axl has for the band and recordings. Also Slash is listed in the same ad as another user. Funny seeing Slash and Guns N Roses listed seperatly like that. Title: Re: I wonder how endorsments work amongst the "new" members? Post by: Voodoochild on January 02, 2006, 02:39:49 PM I dunno, maybe they sent the strings to the label...
I'm using Guitar Rig and Amplitube right now. The first has Robin as endorser, the second one has Richard. Both are really cool! :) Title: Re: I wonder how endorsments work amongst the "new" members? It's better from a marketing point of view to mention Slash and Guns N' Roses, too. Title: Re: I wonder how endorsments work amongst the "new" members? Post by: erose on January 03, 2006, 07:45:18 PM i think that every one who has anything to do with guns n' roses, or slash or any other past/present member, make damn sure to mention it in all their ads and promotion, varied of course by how heavily involved the parts are.

Post by: Saul on January 03, 2006, 10:36:03 PM Well if it was "former" members of GNR I would think they would have to make mention of that in print , but I honestly think this endorsment is for the current band and/or axl himself. (Hey , axl is playing guitar these days)
I'd like to know fer sure though. |
