There has been a lot discussion about the tracks on the Greatest Hits-cd and whether they should be there or not. If you had to choose your favourite cover track on the album what would that be and why?

-Knocking On Heavens Door
-Live And Let Die                  
-Since I Don?t Have You
-Ain?t It Fun
-Sympathy For The Devil

Mine is definitely "Ain?t It Fun". It may not be their most played song but I think it contains a good text, a good melody and a very very cool acid like chorus that I would love to headbang wildly to live if there will ever be a concert again. :( IMO "Live And Let Die" could easily be beaten by this superb track.

While 5 covers on a GH is not good......it doesn't change the fact they are 5 very very good covers.

Down on the farm was fucking bad ass... even better live..

If we can include live stuff and demos, I'd pick the Marquee '87 version of KOHD or the electric demo of Jumpin Jack Flash as my favorite.

Going strictly by LP stuff, I've always liked their version of Down on the Farm.

Ain't It Fun, Black Leather, Buick Makane, and New Rose are pretty good too. I also think I Don't Care About You would have been awesome if Axl was the only singer.

Tough choice. If I had to pick a favorite on the GH, it would be 'Sympathy For the Devil', but only because I think the new band does much better versions of LALD and KOHD.

My favorite cover track would be Live And Let Die followed closely by Knockin' On Heaven's Door.

my favorite is Knockin on Heavens Door, but i think Live and Let Die is their best, because it's a huge improvement on the original. they made that song rock. i think few bands have ever owned a cover quite like GNR did with that one.

Performed at a concert, the easy answer to this is Live and Let Die.  Have any of you tried to scream at the top of your lungs for 12 to 15 seconds and sound that god damn cool?

it may be short, but It's Alright is #2 for me, simply a beautiful song.

 Ithink Greatest hits sucks because of the deleted thing on Aint it fun. I dont think they still make T.S.I anymore, so why delete one single word on a song,    CUNT   ,they deleted S.I.D.H.Y. on W.T.T.Vids when he says "Yep, we're fucked" man that shit pisses me off, EMINEM and all those fags get away with it, nothin's ever fair!!!

Knockin on Heaven's Door is my favourite GN'R song period.  Then Live and Let Die and Since I Don't Have You, Sympathy's sweet too, but Aint it Fun :confused:  horrible.

I was listening to the "Spaghetti Incident?"  for a long tim today and realized that if your in a sad mood that song makes you feel fuckin' amazing.... :smoking:

Knockin' On Heavens Door is one of my favourite songs ever, so that's definitely number 1, but lately I've been listening to Aint It Fun over and over - I absolutely love it. When I'm mad it's a great song to blast  ;D I like Live And Let Die but it's not one of my favourites.

Obviously if they were going to put only 1 cover song on the new GH album it would be Knockin On Heavens Door. Personally I like Live And Let Die the best.

GN'R also did a live cover of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds ,I have never heard this but would love to as it is supposed to be fab!!!! :)

I just listened to Spaghetti while I was running, and I think it's sad that songs like Raw Power, Down On The Farm, IDCAY or Ain't It Fun were never played live. Well, Down On The Farm was played once and it rocked. Those songs have a lot of potential.. this is just my opinion, dont say that I'm wrong.

Yes, it was a cover, I remember Axl saying something like "the rock version of a rap song called taste good dont it"

I like Knockin' on Heaven's Door, as I'm a crazy Dylan fan (of course, I like GNR too, so when ya put the two together, it makes sense).  Heartbreak Hotel, although not officially released is amazing and always gets me moving!  Slash doing the Godfather Theme is incredible.  Finally, on a few bootlegs I've heard, I really enjoy when Patience goes into Over the Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin and Imagine by John Lennon, both are favourite songs of mine. 

Well, I did some research, and it appears that It Tastes Good Don't It is not a song by any other artist. So, it is not a cover.
