I am considering getting a new one, but i am a complete novice at technology so can anyone tell me if this mobile is decent? http://www.thelink.com/martprd/store/lin_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0542563349.1134874487@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciaddghkdfdffcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&sku=705038&category_oid=-18464&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null
Thanks : ok: Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Butch Français on December 17, 2005, 11:37:10 PM I dunno really. I have a Sony Ericsson now which Im quite contempt with. but Nokias are way better for writing text messages on ;D
the Motorolas Ive had have generally been absolute crap to handle. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Genesis on December 17, 2005, 11:47:20 PM Nokia is the best. They have numerous models u can choose from depending on your budget and what features u want...
Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Butch Français on December 17, 2005, 11:53:10 PM yeah, but their cheaper models looks like damn candies, hehe.
Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Genesis on December 18, 2005, 12:04:27 AM yeah, but their cheaper models looks like damn candies, hehe. Heh, true. The problem is that i've used Nokia for years now and it's difficult to get used to Sony's or Motorola's interface. Nokia keeps it consistent thru all their models. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Butch Français on December 18, 2005, 12:11:59 AM Ive mostly had Nokias too, but it's pretty easy to get used to another brand. just takes a few days of noodling with it and you're there, hehe.
Ive had Siemens, SE, Motorola and NEC in between. and probably a couple others that I can't remember, lol. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Queen of Everything on December 18, 2005, 08:15:04 AM Hmm I switched fomr a Nokia to a Sagem. At first I was like "WTF!?!" But its ok now and I am used to it. I must say flip phones are hard to text people from!!!! Thats one down side.
If you want to know if that phone is good, just go to Vodaphone or Telstra shop or something and check out what they have. See the deals ask some questions. Thats what I did!!! : ok: Good luck Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Evolution on December 18, 2005, 10:04:44 AM I decided to go for that phone anyways. Thanks for all the replies. And special thanks to Q : ok:

Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Genesis on April 19, 2006, 09:53:32 AM I'm gonna eat my words. Nokia sucks.
After weeks of research, I've come to the conclusion that Nokia simply does not offer the same value for money as other manufacturers. (Kinda like Windows vs. Linux - Ease of Use vs. Functionality). Nokia is all I've used till now, but yesterday I bought a new Sony Ericsson W800i for $400. (http://www.livingroom.org.au/cameraphone/sony-ericsson-W800i.jpeg) This phone has everything u could possibly need. It still takes a few days to get used to though. I highly recommend Sony Ericsson to anybody getting a new cell. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: badapple81 on April 19, 2006, 10:25:32 AM Just got a Motorola.. crap in terms of useability.. just typing a text message is so time consuming.
My Samsung was really easy to use with a good interface, problem is I had problems with the screen more than once. I didnt take the extra year warranty so I ended up buying a new phone while Im still paying for this one on a capped plan which sucks. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: anythinggoes on April 19, 2006, 11:22:19 AM im a nokia man my self because i know the S60 system very well and its so easy to use and abuse with the right program so far i have had the 7650 3650 6600 6630 and im going to move on to the N91 (4GB hard drive :hihi:) very soon. My partner has had all the Samsung motorola sonys and stuff but ive never got on with them but thats just personal preference

Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: badapple81 on April 21, 2006, 05:59:01 AM Is this a good mobile???? I am looking at getting it?? Motorola V3x (http://www.newmobile.nl/images/toestellen/motorola_v3x.jpg) Drama honestly, I recently bought one similar and am not impressed. The camera is CRAP quality compared to the Samsung I got 2 years ago and typing a text message is painful. I know they are old and boring but in all honesty, Nokia are probably the best phones I've had thinking about it. I give my old Nokia's to my parents and they are still going. The oldest recently died as it wouldn't charge.. 5 years later. I haven't seen the latest range of Nokia's but after having a Samsung with a dodgy screen and a Motorola which I'm not impressed with, I'd certainly take a look at them. Title: Re: Mobile Phone Advice Needed Post by: Prometheus on April 21, 2006, 09:36:32 AM the last 3 phones are in this order..... LG, Samsung, LG
LG i could get reception on the freacking moon i swear samsung...... garbage...... stood in an open feild with the tower 200m away and ill get perfect signa; walk around a bit and it lost signal faster the a chick gets laid on prom night (they dont call it "prom" for nothing lol) before that i had a few nokias... and i loved em had a Moto from work and it was crap too... wouldnt keep charge at all.... no signal strength......One guy i was talking too got that pissed off calling tech support on it cause you had to so they could test the sig strength or something.... kept loosing his connection he tossed it in Lake Ontario... LOL funny thing is you could call it for 30 mins b4 it died under water..... LOL...... My buddy said that was fine too bad he wasnt a fish cause it would ahve been the best phone ever Personaly i loved and still do Nokias.... however.... im now an LG man..... except the latest OS kinda blows.... took out some quic menu keys.... :( |
