have you ever gotten critisized/ made fun of for listening to GNR before???   i have.  poeple know im a GNR freak and on the bus poeple are like what are you listening to?  and i say guns and roses and they start laughing and snickering :rant:

I never get shit for bein' a GN'R fan.  I get shit for my hair metal bands I like (Trixter, Poison, etc.), but never Guns.

i get made fun of cuz i like 60s-early 90s music and they ask "Why do you listen to them? Why not todays music?" and i reply becuz its shit. I also get made fun of cuz i wear leather and stuff associated with old skool metal and rock. they say im not "IN". I take it as a compliment because as i take it, i'm not fucked "IN the head"

Well here, not a lot of people know about GNR, and if they do, they only know about Dont Cry and NR thats all, so they dont say a word.

i used to get made fun of all the time for saying axl was the greatest frontman ever and people relize how great he was now that hes gone and doesnt show up in the news anymore and people would make fun of me like crazy

people at school give me shit.. they always roll their eyes at me and go "Jack, Guns N' Roses AGAIN..? Give it up, they're dead"

i always used to get complimented on wearing my gnr shirts. Just last year i went to do an emergency job for work and i had a gunners shirt on instead of my uniform.. Anyway I appologised to my client and he said "Dont be mate, An old gunners shirt is fine with us"
Ended up a mate of mine, Had a few beers and listend to some music afterwards.

Some Emo kids say stuff about GN'R that's negative, but that's about it. And Emo kids suck, so who cares?

yeah. they just get pissed when i won't shut the hell up about them. for example, someone will mention something about Motley Crue, and ill be like "yeah, Vince Neil sucker punched Izzy." and they'll look at me funny. so thats why i joined this site!

Well yeah, but not just GnR, rock music in general, it sucks ass that no-one really has a clue about music any more, but I don't give a shit, as long as I know that I like good music I couldn't give a flying fuck about what anyone else thinks about the music I listen to.

The other day I was criticized for wearing my G n' R shirt by two Gothic girls in my school.

It didn't bother me because I don't associate with them anyway.

If I was you I'd just laugh in their face, I mean what do they listen to? Indesipherable bullshit about killing people and crap, who are they to critisize?!

well I'm a "younger moron", and most of my friends have good taste in music. Sure, there is the kid who thinks that fall out boy, simple plan, and other crappy bands are the next coming of the Beatles, but for the most part, my pals are into the classics.

I would kick the ass of any person who criticizes me for listening to GNR... nah just kidding... too tough dont you think ? ;)

I didn't mean to offend younger people in general. My nephew is 15 and he's a huge Guns N' Roses fan (and I didn't introduce him to them). So I know some the younger folks have taste.? :-* Kiss and make up??? :-*

most people where i live dont know who they are. people are like "those are the guys that played paridise city and november rain, their pretty cool i guess".  i havent heard amy1 say they sucked. people bash metallica though  :rant:

Umm, I don't know how to tell you this, but, I saw the Rolling Stones at the halftime show, and, well, they ARE so over.

How well will you perform on a stage with crap sound system and half the band is 100 years old and the other half has been dead for 20 years? The Stones do pretty damn good for what they've got!? :rofl:

Never all my friends listen to different types of music so it doesn't bother anyone who listens to what ?

I liked it when Mick said something to the effect that I can't get no satisfaction could have been played in Super Bowl I. Sad, but true.

I was wearin' my GNR hoodie and one girl asks me "what's Guns N' Roses" and my friend says something like "its this gay ass band". And so I say "fuck you man its better than that gay ass techno you listen too." (Please note I don't hate the gays)

Another time was when I was wearin'? my GNR hoodie and another one of my friends said to me "Man Guns N' Roses is dead" to which I say "Nah mean Chinese Democracy will come out in a year or 6" :hihi:

Other times its just me telling my friend that they are better than Green Day cause he likes to talk shit about GNR and has some dumbass belief that Green Day is better than KISS which really pisses me off.

Another time a girl said that GNR is over rated and their only good song was Paradise City. But this is coming from some one who listens to Slipknot so I don't care what she has to say at all.


Nope it ain't easy liking? bands like GNR, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, KISS,or Aerosmith (hey I'm listening to Dream On right now :)) in a rap/current music dominated school.

I don't consider Slipknot a band...they are a noise-making holloween party.

Off topic, I think you should buy their "new" record Vol. 3 "The Subliminal Verses" and re-think, there are actually a couple of ballads on there as well, so you should not call them what you just did.
