 According to Ozzy.com, OZZY OSBOURNE and the BLACK SABBATH "supergroup," including Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) will be performing at the the second annual UK Music Hall Of Fame ceremony, which is being held November 16 at the Alexandra Palace in North London. Both Ozzy as a solo artist and Ozzy with SABBATH are being inducted, as are PINK FLOYD, John Peel, BOB DYLAN and JIMI HENDRIX. Other acts scheduled to perform include ALANIS MORISSETTE, THE PRETENDERS, JAMIE CULLUM, NEW ORDER and THE EURYTHMICS. For the first time ever in the U.S., VH1 will broadcast "The Second Annual UK Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" with the entire two-hour ceremony airing exclusively on VH1 Classic right after the premiere on VH1. The UK Music Hall of Fame is produced by Initial (part of Endemol) and distributed by Channel 4 International.

The second annual "UK Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" will premiere on VH1 as a two-hour live extravaganza on Saturday, November 26 9:00 p.m. The ceremony will be staged in front of a 3,000 strong audience and reveal up to ten legendary artists and one music industry figure to be inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame. VH1 Classic will air the entire, unexpurgated ceremony on Sunday, November 27 at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT and again at 11:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. PT. VH1 Classic viewers will witness the complete show, brimming with amazing performances and tributes to huge to be missed.

On November 11, 2004 music history was made with the inaugural ceremony of The UK Music Hall of Fame. THE BEATLES, MICHAEL JACKSON, MADONNA, BOB MARLEY, ELVIS PRESLEY, QUEEN, CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS, THE ROLLING STONES, U2 and ROBBIE WILLIAMS were the first artists to enter the UK Music Hall of Fame and Chris Blackwell (the founder of Island Records) was given the Honorary Membership for services to the music industry. Inductees are chosen by a highly select group of entertainment industry professionals.

That must've been the first time Slash has really impressed me since he left GN'R.

That solo had me sitting on my sofa pulling my jaw off the floor.

This is a prime example as to why New Guns may release a bang up studio album, but never will they capture that kind of magic in a live setting without a certifiable Guitar Icon like Slash on lead. You watch him play like that and it is just so sad to think of what he and Axl could have accomplished together over the last 20 years  :drool:.

Slash absolutely nailed Hey Joe, it was fucking astonishing, To be completely honest he played that song better than I personally have ever heard Hendrix play it, pure class and genius.

Oh and what was with that whole "Black Sabbath Supergroup" thing? Who came up with that one? Such a band never played at the ceremony.

Finally listened to it and it was intense just like you all said.... Contraband was greta and all but it could have been even better with more Saul Hudson wailing away.. Hopefully they remedy that..... It really is a waste of his talent.. Man I gotta listen to that again...

I know Slash played some solos at the VR shows I've seen in the past, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing I saw at those shows came close to that performance! Amazing!

the half of my family came down with a bug an im sittin up in my bed getin all excited cus im about to see slash wen all of a sudden i have to run into the bathroom an get sick rite in middle of his solo! :rant: :crying:obviosly i came back in as soon as id stopped getin sick but my sister was shoutin at me to stay in the bathroom incase i got sick all over the floor but i had to stay an watch slash, not even getin sick ruined that for me!!

I watched it here in the UK when it broadcast n Thursday.

Can I just say, i had to pick my jaw up off the floor. There is no question, what we saw there was vintage Slash.

 :drool:....If ever there was a visual that captures the essence of the term "rock star" it is Slash. Still looks badass after all these years, and can play like a mother to boot.

What a damn shame he and Axl couldn't patch things up. Seeing him up there on stage like that playing so brilliantly depresses me sometimes. To think of what they could have done together..... :no:

Thanks, mike, for the videos!  I have seen the Hey Joe video before, and Slash just rocks the house!  It's awesome!  What an honor for him.  A couple of the original members of JH Experience are playing.  I just wonder whether they "hand picked" Slash.  Who else could fill the shoes of Hendrix?

Just saw slashs performance at those awards on VH1 and well the word UNBELIEVABLE comes to mind, still in shock at the performance. I know people said it was brilliant but till you see it, you dont get the full affect. Anyone who hasnt seen it get hold of it.

Yeah , I watched it the other night and it was awesome.... The whole show was awesome, not just Slash... I liked Alannis doing Dylan too. Ozzy was great during Crazy Train but he sounded like crap with Sabbath at the end...... Great Ceremony..

Slash stole the show IMO...

when I watched it I was thinking about how slash n zakk were in the back hanging or something like that and kept thinking how their mid 90's jam session was for gnr at the time.

What I like is how Slash represented in front of some absolute Legends like Townsend, Gilmour, May, Winwood, and the Hendrix boys Mitchell and Billy Cox. That was one of Slash's best performances ever. Winwood and Cox had big grins on their faces at the end. :beer:
