Post by: AxlisOld on November 27, 2005, 08:45:28 AM Use actual harmonics...not pinches. What most people don't know is that there are more harmonics that just 5,7 and 12. 24 (or the spot where it would be) makes the same as 5, 19makes the same sound as 7. You can also find harmonics at about 3 1/3, and 4 7/8. Basically its all relative to where the harmonic lies from the 12th fret, and you can use it on either side of it. Those last 2 I mentioned are the best for the squeal. You want to depress the whammey alot, not quite dive bomb it, and pick it while the strings are slightly loose. It should give you the squeal and you can whammey away. That should help I hope.
