a band only exists in Axl's mind, and until he lifts the security blasnket off and treats this like a real band, its going nowhere. dizzy saying that its coming soon means NOTHING to me, his statement that he THINKS he's still in the band, that says a whole lot more.

From what I can tell, I think it happened on either the 8th of September or the 28th of October. Im not exactly sure which date though. Ill see what else I can find out and let everyone know.

it never works, everything always falls thru.....the situation is a disaster....creatively, financially, personally. i think the "members" say whatever they think the public will buy so they can keep saying they are in GnR.

at this point, it wouldnbt matter if Robin announced on his website that CD is coming out this december. i want the record label and a statement from Axl, and even then, i will proceed with caution.

I think by him saying very very soon was meant to be taken as a joke.  I am let's not even think back to the late 90's, starting from 2001 there have been countless times the record was said to be on the verge of coming out, and it was always said that the soon to be released or forthcoming album.  Bottom line is only Axl knows when he is going to release it, but since we never hear anything from him I doubt he even knows when it will get released.

Haha I assure you I am interested in getting a new album.  I just don't take anything that these people say seriously anymore.  Without repeating exactly what I have said in past posts, people here get so pumped up and excited when a band member says "its coming sooner than you think" or something along those lines.  It has turned out to be BS everytime.  The dejection afterwards is pretty funny.  So keep on hoping peoples!   :beer:

That has to be the shittiest interview (in terms of camera work, audio and that interviewer) of all time.  Anyway, it's all adding up now.  There's no way that information about Chinese Democracy can be kept from leaking out and IMHO I believe that all the recent jive is their attempt to cover up what's behind the scenes.  Richard, Tommy and now Dizzy are all saying very soon.  I plan on having a single in my cd player within the next month.  : ok:

I believe in Axl and his ability to release one of the greatest albums in recent times.  Regardless of nay-sayers, we've had more official and confirmed indications of a release in upcoming months from not only the members, but Merck as well stated that 2005 was the year for GN'R.  A single for late 2005 will get the attention of the industry and create the publicity for the full release in March.  You can disagree and bash Axl all you want, but a few months from now all of the negative comments spewed by many of you on these boards will come to bite you in the ass.  Remember that when you hold CD in your hands a few months from now - you were never a true fan and probably aren' worthy of that cd and all the effort and time that went into it.

I just watched the interview in full! Man Dizzy looks so drunk toward the end of the interview!  :rofl: Either that or he doesn't do cameras much and he was nervous! What a terrible production!  ;D

If the inerview was done on Sept 8th, then the statement is meaningless as Tommy updated around that time and Richard cancelled his Nena dates. Something then happened and changed that because Richard then spoke of outside disturbances and scheduled more Nena dates. I actually think the plans changed again after that. Thus, we know nothing. :-*

Well he isn't lying when he says soon, he said he was told soon, so that means hes not sure when, but "SOON" is still without a date. he talked about touring with his band and will tour until hes called in for duty with Guns. He doesn't know anymore than we do. He seems to be a guy that loves being on stage playing music. Axl must not give these guys much info, its sad, but he seems to be keeping busy. Poor Dizzy

After 15 years in Guns N' Roses, I have always been shocked by how Axl considers Dizzy. The guy has been in the band since 1990, and he is always the last guy to know what happens. That's unfair. Dizzy is a great guy and a great musician, he deserves a little bit more respect. He is a key member of the new Guns N' Roses for me. The guy played on the Use Your Illusions, even if he wasn't as famous as Axl or Slash, he played on the Illusion I and II, he helped the band to be successfull during the early 90's, and he is now an "historic" member of the band.

Dizzy deserves a little more respect. Both from Axl and from the fans.

I would think D. gets a lot of respect from the A. More so than a lot of you think.

A lot of us are viewing GN'R as this 'band' of guys who get together and drink beer and strum chords until a song comes out. Fortunately, Guns don't work like VR. GN'R are a 'band' of professional musicians who respect each other's personal and professional lives.

I think you'll see some interesting credits on the inside of the album cover...

hahahaha yes, thank goodness Axl has been taking over a decade to release a single album of music.  I am sure no one has minded the wait at all!  And with tracks like Oh My God we have so much to be looking forward to! 

Also thank god him and his band are so professional.  One cancelled tour and one aborted tour.  Buckethead leaving the band and Axl attacking him for it.  No one in the band being able to give a straight answer about the status of the album.  Yes they are so respectful of each other and they are such a tight knit group.   ::)

Very very true. Just because Dizzy's more down earth doesn't mean he's second fiddle. He knows his shit, I think he is very important to Axl when it comes to communicate ideas and stuff. I think Dizzy sure can play better than Axl (piano) and helps him to realise his ideas.

But then again, he is one funny fella, if you can watch that interview without laughing your ass off, something is wrong with your sense of humor. Well maybe it's black humor because of the situation, but well...anway...

It looked like the introduction to some very low class porn movie ;D  Anyways good to see Dizzy but I really can`t stand the word "soon" in combination with CD no more. I think the word soon has been used a gazillion times, so if Dizzy says very soon he first of all doesn`t know (I mean what is he supposed to say?? "I don`t know? Axl doesn`t  tell me shit?" or "june 2390" ?) and second of all everything is relative. For an Album 10 years in the making anything close to judgment day is soon!!!!
