As far as I know it will only be available on the internet and at their concerts.? Although they did say that they will only be available at concerts in limited amounts and only if there are still copies available. ? :yes:

i think they were meant to be shipped yesterday or the day before. robbie crane (bassist - goes on the website to post too) said something like there was abit of delay but they'd sorted it out and were getting sent out. so if you're in the US i'd imagine you'll be getting 'em soon!

i'd still love to know how many copies have been sold. i suppose realistically about 100 at most.

Just read an interview with kevin Dubrow and kevin says that adler is still on drugs and would most likely have himself dead within a couple years.  :o

who jizzy? he's a singer, don't think so. keri kelli did i think and i know robbie crane the bass player played for vince neil's solo band.

jizzy plays for love/hate, solo, RATT and adlers appetite. hopefully he'll concentrate on AA as the rest of the bands he's involved aren't really "new" or doing much.

I am glad that some of you like it, but.... $13 in the US for an EP??  I don't care how limited it is, I refuse to pay that much for an EP with 6 songs on it.

$13 is still not THAT much if you wanna get the EP... It's a limited edition thing.

jizzy and robbie (bassist) posted on their website apologising for the delay, i doubt you'll get the cd anytime soon  (as you're in the UK i mean) certainly not before the tour i reckon? i'm glad i'm waiting until the gig though i imagine the price will correlate with UK prices and thus be like a tenner, which is closer to $20 than $10! ugh. but we'll see

i can see what you mean about paying $13 though it does include shipping. i imagine if they get on an indie label for an album it will be cheaper?

I just received some cd's for promotional purposes.

I don't know when the one I ordered and paid for will come...  ;D

The first thing that I noticed is that there's no label on the cd. It only says "ARROGANT BASTARD LTD." on the sides and it was produced by the band.


Nothing more... And no lyrics, just photos from studio and some shows, kinda like the one in the back of AFD's booklet. It looks cool but it reminds me of AFD.

About the EP:

It's a really good EP. 6 songs, 2 of them covers.

I REALLY liked "SUICIDE" and "EMPTY". Steven's drumming is really good. You can hear Robbie's bass so clearly. Keri's solos are very good. And Jizzy is Jizzy as usual, which to me is good.

It's not GN'R, but it gave me the same feeling I got when I first heard Contraband. I know it's gonna grow on me really soon cause I already like 2 songs very much and "99" is becoming another favorite as I'm listening to it...

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that these songs are gonna sound amazing live. A really good EP.


P.S.: the cd's I got have the cover that was first posted on the band's site with the stars, not the one they have now with the small photos.

On their forum it says that they didn't come to an agreement with a label for the EP, so they released it on their own.

I live in Washington State and I haven't gotten mine yet, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.  They must have used some SLOW shipping.

Not that much?  I am used to buying EP's for 5,6, or 7 bucks.  I like Steven and all but there is no way I will give him my money when he is charging that much.  And $18 for a shirt shipped within the US!!  Come on now.

that's so cool they released it on their own, i'm guessing adler paid for most of it, i think the others make a living out of money but i can't imagine they'd have the cash to fund it?

interesting keri wrote the whole of empty, the lyrics to that i thought were very good, the whole scene of LA in the aftermath of grunge and how it's not like the 80s, y'know? very good imagery of it. at least from the clip!

another interesting thing is the songwriting creds are traditional lyrics and music, cos obviously there was the big thing with the lawsuit for adler about claiming songwriting credits because the rest of them were, and he said he always thought of it being trad. but when he found out they were claiming credit musically he didn't see why he shouldn't too.

personally, i would have thought 'cos all of them were doing it so independently it would be credited to all of them.

You can find the rates there aswell, it didn't cost a whole lot of money. I thought I read somewhere that the drums where recorded in the Dinky studio and the guitars and vocals in Keri's home studio. About the songs, Keri said in an interview that he brought the songs in, then showed them to the Steven and Robbie and as they went thru them, re-arranged them and sometimes extended a verse or chorus to fit Jizzy's vocals.

i suppose thats where the arranged by AA comes in. i remember those interviews. i just wonder how much they had to pay printing etc. suppose if you know you're gonna sell em on tour thhey knew they could probably shift em.

Finally got my copy last Friday ... can't say that I was floored, but it's pretty good.  Nice to see that they're at least apologetic enough to send an apology for the delay.

Wonder if his former bandmate will try the same tactic ... if/when he gets around to sending out his album  ;)

A pretty Damn Good Ep. I was very surprised about the quality.
I just Saw them yesterday and they fuckin Rocked my world.

i want them to play la again. And not just the malibu fucking inn. Its a 21 and up place, last time the band played there 6 of my friends wanted to go but couldn't

I didn't much care for it at first but I am liking it better with repeated listens.  The songs are good but you have to give them a chance before you start liking them.  I think a full length LP will be better because it won't have so many covers.  The covers were easily the weakest links of the EP.

yeah i see what you mean about the covers, they seem the most "filler" style of the EP, but at the same time hollywood provides a change of pace etc that is needed and maybe they didn't have enough time to write it themselves.

personally i like every track, but the more i listen to the album the more i appreciate the new tracks more.

That is not true, and the fact that they sold every copy they printed it proves it.

They had a deal with a record company but they wanted to release something very quick before their European tour. So they produced the EP.

They have some offers from record companies, they'll look into it and when the time is right (when they'll be ready to record the album) they'll choose the best deal.

I listened the songs "Empty" and "Suicide".  one a ballad one and another rocker. They were good rock songs but quite average I must say.

It seems that I'm one of the few who doesn't really like the EP. IMO the only song which is really good is little dancer. The cover songs are good aswell. But the other songs are average at best. If you compare it to Jizzy his solo album, that is much, much better. That's why I expected a lot more from this EP.

the ep is such a staple of my cd collection now, i dont go anywhere without it

i don't listen to it as much as i did when i first got it, but thats the way with cds, you're always buying more etc etc. i still think its a great EP and look forward to the album.

i bought this in january when i saw them (and met them!) in london last feb i think.......its ok, little dancers pretty good

yes i am aware that i fucked up what i wrote.

As far as a review goes, I'm probably in the minority here but I thought it wasn't very good.  I spent the $13 for 6 songs cause I heard some good things about it in here but it really let me down. 

I did like Steven's drumming and a couple guitar fills and solos were sweet, but it just lacked any identity and soul.  I even forced myself to listen to it after I initially didn't grasp it and still didn't like it. 

I know someone said that it's hard to get used to Jizzy's voice and that may be true, but I just thought it was a pretty boring rock record that seemed like it was rushed.

So unless you are a collector, my advice would be to spend your $13 elsewhere.  I like Steven but I'm also not entirely blind following music just because someone from GNR is in it. 

Sorry to bump and old thread....but I just wanted to say how much i dig this EP.

I mean its not at GNR level...but to me its a solid rock offering with some great guitars to rock out to.

To be honest I'm not even that into Adler himself...as i don't know a lot about drums...but seems like he did a good jonb to me and keri kelli is fantastic on this record
