Here Today... Gone To Hell!

It may have once been ?All About The Nookie?, but nowadays the world of Limp Bizkit is much closer to the band?s name. As the news breaks that Limp Bizkit are to release a Best Of, comes some terrifying news: they?ve covered ?Bittersweet Symphony??


US rock radio mainstays Limp Bizkit will release a new record entitled ?Greatest Hits? on November 7 looking back on ten years of shouting a lot. There?ll also be a DVD disc just in case you could never get enough of Ol? Freddy?s angry grimacing.

However the most worrying news is that the package will include three previously unreleased songs. In addition to the likes of ?Nookie?, ?Rollin', ?Break Stuff? and ?N 2 Gether Now?, the collection will include ?Lean on Me?, and ?Why?, plus an as-yet-untitled "mash-up" of Motley Crue's ?Home Sweet Home? and The Verve's ?Bittersweet Symphony.? The results of which have to be heard to be believed, we should imagine?

Notably, no tracks from Limp Bizkit's recent EP, ?The Unquestionable Truth? will feature after a disappointing top 20 peak on the Billboard chart. Shame.

Limp Bizkit is an easy target these days, but hell, I like 'em. Wes Borland rules. I can picture the band doing "Lean on Me."

Aren't you people sick of bashing Lipm Bizkit?? I'm not a fan , far from it, but I'm sick of hearing about how much they suck every 2 weeks.

Bitter Sweet Simphony is a crappy repettitive annoying song, not a fuckin masterpiece

and you have the musical tastes of a lobotomised gibbon if you fail to realise the genius in the verve.

I like Limp Bizkit and i love The Verve - can't wait to hear what the cover sounds like, and i will probably be buying the best of too - that way i don't have to skip all the filler tracks on their albums.

Off-topic, but, what do you think of the Dragonforce album you got, Izzy? Sonic Firestorm wasn't it?

Dont consider that a masterpiece, u gotta at least be orginal.

LB kick ass and I dont care what anyone else thinks cause to me they are a very good band, just like Korn is a great band, Linkin Park is a great band also.

They used a RS loop in the track but forgot to ask permission from the Stones, d'oh!

They ripped off the symphonic melody of "You can't always get what you want."

No they didn't.

They used the loop from The Last Time, a song by the Stones. Jagger and Richards got a ton of royalties, and anyone I talk to think that the song was written by the Stones.  People shouldnt exaggerate...a short loop was used. Besides, the Stones should be thankful, it only people care about  them more at the time.

I'm not going to go into a stupid Limp Bizkit vs Verve thing. If I can love Bittersweet Symphony, anyone is allowed as well. If they like the song, good for them. I just can't fucking imagine a Limo Bizkit cover of it..maybe Ill dl it just to see if they do a good job.

i enjoy about 20-30 other verve songs more than i enjoy bitter sweet symphony...  limp bizkit are shit and shouldnt be allowed to touch a classic song by the verve.

Two Questions:

1. How many copies do you think the best of bzkit will sell?
2. Will the new covers get airplay?

In moments like these, when Bands do such things like Limp Bizkit is allegedly going to do... Im glad Guns n Roses is no longer together...

and by the way Did you know that The Verve took a part of a Rolling Stones' Song to play that thing Called "Bitter Sweet Simphony"? the Violin part, wich is certainly the cause of the success of that "song".

Bittersweet symphony is a great song but If all they did was steal a little piece of a RS song, then The Stones wouldnt have received 100 percent of the royalties. The lyrics and vocal melody are great but that music makes that song.

The second album A NORHTERN SOUL is a fucking masterpeice, musically its flawless, every song is brilliant, shows the true genius of the verve.

Urban Hymns just takes me back to the wonderful madness of the 90's i love it all aswell man.

i recommend everyone illegally download the song in question and judge for yourself-
but here is my review-     first its more of a cover of Home Sweet Home by motley crue then it is of bittersweet symphony-  he sings only the chorus of B.S.S-  ----  i actaully laughed when i heard the song when it started-  there is some cool production to the song- but totally useless.  i highly doubt this will get any airplay on video or radio-
