My HTGTH highlight and highlight of my life was meeting D.

Also, getting to know certain members personally. My HTGTH t-shirt. And all the crazy threads in the Jungle section.

Well, one of my definitely biggest highlights is my "fight" with Ax.. errrrrrrrr LatigoHammers... Check out the pm's he sent me...? :hihi:



He promised me I'll be in the booklet of CD... I hope he'll keep his promise....? :rofl:

Mine has to be last April's fool, when everybody thought the board had been hacked...? :hihi: Specially since I helped with he planning. Hillarious :rofl:

I dont know if its my highlight or my lowst point, but when I was a jerk post-boosting on the What are You Listening To Thread like, 30 times a day, and then Jarmo set the new rule and Matt88 and I lost like 300 posts each......Come to think about it, probably my lowest point :-\

I always enjoy the small burst of excitement that surround CD. Like the Dizzy video is right now and when Behind The Music aired  :hihi:

Chester the Molester, The build-up to Wrestlemania XX in the Wrestling Thread & looking at the GN'R section once every 6 months to see the exact same discussions which have been going on for years now.....it's like time keeps repeating itself...

The early part of the '02 tour (which is actually when I started posting here).  It was a nice vibe.  Everyone was so pumped.

Every AxlRoseVen's thread is a highlight! :hihi:


Really, I wasn't a member of the board, but checked the main site everyday back in '99. I just went crazy when I saw that End Of Days trailer with OMG clip. :headbanger:

My all time highlight, even if CD comes out, would have to be a couple years ago when Horsey posted a couple wacked out funny threads and in one she thought Axl was jerking himself off during a video.

Watching newbies try to get away with posting mp3's and Buckethead's photo and then timing to see how fast the mods can delete it is also fun. 

Skipping class to watch Dave and Younggunner battle it out with Bookerflloyd over basically nothing.

A forum highlight for me was discovering my own system of whether or not a thread contained useful information.  After a while I figured out that a thread needs to have 10% of posts per views to be worthy of looking at.  So if there were 100 views and 10 posts I'd look into it.  If it had 80 views and 3 posts I knew it was just some stupid dead horse question. 

And finally, got to meet Loretian randomly at a Velvet show a year and half ago.  He was wearing a UYI shirt and I randomly asked if he belonged to HTGTH.  We bought each other a couple drinks (after we'd had quite a few), and at the end of the concert I saw him again and he was leaning up against a post headbanging to Negative Creep but couldn't keep his eyes open or his head up.  That was the sign of a true HTGTHer.

2. The time when we adopted characters from Ghostbusters for our usernames and avatars. Reading the "Whos On-line list was pretty damn amusing" :rofl:

Seemingly I missed many of the big moments except the skogsal day....

but the present is my highlight at any time.

And then we did a round of Simpsons, and for a few brilliant days, I was Apu & 8 octuplets.  That was a lot of fun.

I remember that, very funny  :hihi:  Poor Jarmo... he can't win.. then he asked for 'The Jungle' to kind of grow up a bit and have some intelligent conversation (not his exact words but from memory that's what he was getting at) and look at it now! :hihi: 

Hey remember that "I renounce Guns N' Roses" thread?? That was a classic! Everyone was like "Hmm...ok, bye!"  ;D

I think I remember the Simpsons and Ghostbusters thing, even though I wasn't a member back then. How many people remember who they were?

Now I have a Highlight... its when I started using the board, and meeting interesting people from all the world who shares the same love to Guns N Roses.

Dreadfully Im a newbie cause I've read all the post and I can't remember none  :'(
But my personal higlight was when people started to figure out if August 18 was a girl o a guy  :hihi:

My HTGTH highlght would be my dramatic recapturing of the lead in the WWE Game.  My accomplishments cannot be confined to one thread.  Ain't I great?

And of course the skogsal shizzle. Back then, i remember, i logged in, and 1st read my messages. Jim (if i remember right.. i think it was Jim..) has sent me a pm and he said he?s a bit drunk and yadda yadda.. he wrote a lot of dis pimp right here-shite, and i thought he has gone insane. Then i noticed the whole board was messed up by tha pimpfather. It was pretty funny.

LOL, that was funny, I forgot about that thread.

The roasting of D was fun.

I like this board because I find the posters to be generally intelligent, but not arrogant. Like in the "Bad Obsession" section we can talk about all kinds of bands and state our opinions without being condescended to, which often happens on other music boards. Plus, at the HTGTH board we can let our inner GN'R geekness run ramped, overanalyze and hair-split every aspect of Axl Rose and GN'R. I think this board is a great little community and thank Jarmo and the other mods for giving us such a cool place to virtually hang out.
