Post by: Hammy on October 27, 2005, 01:00:40 PM Well i'm moneyless, i've quit smoking (not weed though...) but having no money means haven't had a joint in over a week :'( does mean i'm getting healthier though, it's my 2nd detox, when i get a decent job sorted i'll be smoking weed again but i heard of these guys ages ago my mate forced them upon me and even extremelly mashed i hated them, as for your list of other great welsh bands :puke: they're all crap!

Have to agree The Manics first two albums are sensational - Generation Terrorists is 18 tracks of gold - thought the Holy Bible was a bit too intense though, the sound of a band in too deep - and lost thingy not soon afterwards. Good album but not easy listening! And the Prophets first album is very good - but they took so long to release the follow up, the momentum was dead - and also the evil record label had turned them into a pop-band. ---- As for Bullet for my valentine - i hear great things about their latest album, but emo stuff and cookie monster vocals are the stuff of nightmares, i'm hestitant about adding any of their stuff to my collection.... Post by: mrlee on February 08, 2006, 05:11:11 PM hmmm i dunno on this one. im totally against emo and i dont think they sound emo, i think people are going on classifying anything new and has some screaming vocals as emo. which is unfair. i dont think bullet sound emo to me, they sound like a capable metal band, just dont do great riffs. so nice twin guitars though.

No, Evo, all the songs are good, im going off them a bit due to the fact that they are played everywhere and all the 12-15 year old annoying mannerless school children like them. Still, if it leads them onto better stuff and distances them from the MTV controlled environment, then im all for it.
