"I've been waiting for something like this for a long time... it looks and sounds heavy, but fits flat on my screen! There really is nothing else as comprehensive or as fun, for me to point-and-click my way to cool guitar sounds."

Robin Finck of Guns & Roses, NIN

"...but fits flat on my screen" :hihi:   Robin's too funny!

What is Guitar Rig?

from http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=guitarrig_us&ftu=9446fbe2f2
GUITAR RIG is a complete solution for the modern guitarist ? on the stage, in the rehearsal space, at home, and in the studio. GUITAR RIG combines highly advanced software and a sturdy hardware foot controller: ?Rig Kontrol?. The GUITAR RIG software offers first-class emulations of classic and modern amplifiers, cabinets, microphones, and effects, letting guitarists easily create any guitar set-up imaginable. The outstanding sound quality, extensive features, and wide ranging flexibility set GUITAR RIG apart.

The guitar is connected to via a standard guitar cable to the line input on the Rig Kontrol foot controller. The two standard line outs on the Rig Kontrol connect to the line ins of your audio interface (soundcard) via standard guitar cables as well.

Okay, it gets more technical which everyone (including me!) can't appreciate.  But how cool does this look?!

Wow, I hope those windows are splittable in the GUI, otherwise you're going to need about a 25" tall display to see them all.

(Yes, I'm a geek, sorry bout that)

Nice to see Robin officially acknowledge his presence in GNR, though.. that's always a good thing.

Wicked app. The sound isn't nearly as good as the real deal, but it's still amazing.

Wonder if Robin means Axl's rig, you know the one you can reportedly hunt buffalos with.  :hihi:
