i know it might sound stupid, but i think there should be a penpals section on this site. the main reason im suggesting it is because i need a german speaking (ok there might not be too many of them on this site) pen friend to help with my A levels, but i still think other people might like to do it.

thoughts?

I'm not sure if Jarmos comment was sarcastic or not... but I am really interested in that (because I am still in school!)  So I would love to do it.  But I think that there would need to be alot of help from the Admin.  and they may not be willing, because it would be quiet a bit of work.  Trying to keep adresses confidental to a level etc etc.  But I would get involved if the decision was made!!  : ok:  :yes:

Then I guess we're running an uncool forum...

Maybe you should start a thread in The Jungle for those who might be interested.

A thread is a totally different thing than a whole section about it...

Like I said before, It would take alot of monitoring to make sure peoples adresses etc are still kept in a way, confidential.  It would be alot alot of work.  But it would be great.  I am interested 100%.  But I do however have an Idea.  Maybe we could have a baby section inside the Jungle, lets say, and people post a thread about them selves and what they are looking for in their pen pal to be.  Then other people reply saying if they have those qualities? 

Its just an idea.  But I would love to do it?  :yes:

yeah an emailing system would work better maybe. i suppose i could just join a chat room, but its not quite the same and i like the idea of talking to people on this site better, because people on chat rooms (that ive come across) are cunts, as opposed to all the lovely people here on HTGTH :)

Why don't you just make friends with someone else from a different country and talk to them on msn?

should we (i) start a official thread then.

It should be set out so each post specifically states interests etc and why they want a "pen" pal. For example, I need a German one, but I'm sure many people are looking to improving their english, so it would be usefull for them. Of course emaill adresses would be exchanged via PMs.
