Title: I'm keeping my mouth shut Post by: Guns N RockMusic on September 27, 2005, 08:08:46 PM Because this is a Guns N' Roses forum and I joined this place for info on GN'R and discussion on the band, I am no longer going to participate in the jungle. I know many of you will be heartbroken, but I don't want anyone saying that my absence from here is because I was defeated,scared etc. It has come clear that due to the debate between myself and many other board members that the adminstrator's want to crack down on people they deem narrow minded. Because I love this site, I don't want to be banned and will no longer post here. My advice to my fellow conservatives it to choose your battles. Most people on this forum are liberal and disagree with us. Once the heat is off the "diverse" politcal discussion I'll love to start posting in this section again. Good luck and no hard feelings. :peace:

By conservative I meant in an economic sense since my views have been almost entirley spoken towards property rights and economic means. No one is more conservative in economic regards than libertarians. Example: Kitano calls me a coward because I so "withdrawl" the troops. He then goes on to call other people wimps, wussies...whatever. Then a month later he says we should pull out. So...I say he's a hypocrite. As far as the "this thread is gay" thing. It must be taken into perspective. First of all, everybody on this board knows I don't care if somebody is gay. Second there is a dual usage for the word "gay" these days. In this case, meaning Lame. Thirdly Richard Simmons is over the top gay, and that is funny. Posting that pic for humors sake, with the word gay is a play on words with a good laugh. Certainly not an attack on homosexuals. Comparing that clip and paste to calling somebody a fag is not accurate and you know it. You must consider the source, and how it was presented. If a new poster comes on and shows a picture of a guy at the gay parade and says "Body spray is for fags"..That is totally different then what i posted. Anybody can see that. My name has been brought up as one of 6 poster that make racist/hateful statements towards other members.? To clarify on this, I have never posted that I do not believe women, gays, blacks or any other segment of society should be treated differently or have different rights.? My only comment ever to deal with rights were in regard to voting and I only advocated that it is my belief that someone should contribute to their society and have a vested interest in that society to be able to vote - that applies to christian, white heterosexuals just as much as anyone else. I am not anti-gay or a homophobe.? I believe homosexuality is not a choice and someone should be able to live their life as they see fit.? I am not a christian, but was raised as one.? If my memory is correct, all sins can be forgiven save blasphemy.? That means that pre-marital sex is just as much of a sin as "homosexuality".? I personally don't see gay people as evil or wrong.? It was always my understanding that salvation and redemption are given only through God.? there's enough problems in this world/country to worry about without certain people being on a moral crusade to judge the personal lives and actions of others.? If a God does exist (again I'm an agnostic; i don't know) then we'll all have to answer to him and him alone. I'd like to be able to participate in this forum.? It is my opinion that I offer one of the few property rights/individual oriented arguments to the issues we discuss.?
