You're Crazy(acoustic). Axl is fucking brilliant on this song. His vocals on this one are haunting. This song is when Axl reached his peak.

I'd say most GNR fans prefer the acoustic version, but the acoustic version just doesn't do it. I love the Appetite version so much better. Same with when they played it accoustic in 93, just didn't like it at all.

The most underrated ones:
You're Crazy (acoustic), One in a Million, The Garden, Garden of Eden, Bad Apples, Pretty Tied Up, Locomotive.

One In A Million is very underrated.  Many people completely dismiss it cause of the lyrics.  I think its a great song...one of their bests.

Breakdown is underated and cant understand why, its a great song. Prefer the acoustic version of Your crazy much more than the appetite version.  Pretty tied up is good as well.

Depends on whether you're talking about GN'R fans or the public in general.

For fans of GN'R it would be "Breakdown."

For the general public it would be "Estranged."

I'd go with So Fine, or Rocket Queen, although RQ is popular among the GnR fanbase, it's not recognised on a wider scale.

I agree with Holy War.  For the general public, it's Estranged.  For GNR fans, I'd say IRS.  This song is in such a raw form currently, nobody can see this thing's got "classic" written all over it.  It doesn't even have an intro. on the version we've all heard. 

Personally, I'd agree with Breakdown...if...it didn't have that ending.  I'm sorry, it doesn't work in my eyes, and kept that song from reaching its full potential.

I agree with Holy War, but I have to disagree with you saying that if it wasn't for that ending, cause I think the song was made for people to feel identificated with the breakdown histeria or paranoic, perhaps thats how I look it. But its potential it's way up the scael I might say this is the best GNR and axl performance  :peace:

I think that Ain't It Fun is a really wik song, but not really THAT well known..... Breakdown would be in the top 3 but. Along with estranged I think.  Maybe I just put that in there because I love it so much?  :hihi:

I just was listening to UYI II last night and i realised that i had commited a sin. I have underrated Shotgun Blues for too damn long!


I love the drum intro and just the vocal delivery, which is superb.

I'll say Locomotive. It's my 2nd favorite song behind Coma.

I adore Aint It Fun. I go through stages where I just play it over and over and over. The guitar in that is awesome, and I love each verse. Fantastic track.

for me, definately dead horse, I personally think at the time guns had it picked as a potential big gun, hence playing t at rock in rio.

Breakdown, definitely, but it's finally gotten the attention it deserves in recent years by GNR fans.

Otherwise... I'd give the nod to Think About You. Rarely discussed, but I love it, and how it's sequenced - The outro is a perfect lead in to SCOM. Gives me chills everytime I hear that fade out, and then WHAM! Sweet Child starts in.

Yeah, and when Axl comes in for the chorus its awesome. That's definitely an underated song. Dizzy's piano rocks also in that song.

Locomotive and Coma are both fantastic, Bad Apples is underrated,  14 Years is also cooler than it's given credit for, and I feel like no one ever talks about Dead Horse, which is another great song.

Coma, Breakdown, Dust N Bones and Estranged (fans, media, whatever...this is a fuckin' masterpiece that never has got the credit it deserves!!)

Yeah that's a good point, Garden of Eden is a good song. I think they released it as a single to prove that they still played hard rock with all the NR and Don't Cry and Extranged stuff going on.

yeah when i first found out it was a single i thought why the hell did they choose this song. but the thing about the hard rock makes sense. they should have chosen back off a bitch or dont dam me instead though.

I think the in-song rant on breakdown really ruins it. People seem to either love or hate that rant, and I think it ruins a great solo by Slash.

i think the most underrated songs are breakdown, locomotive and coma. i think that all are complex songs and they never get credited as much as they should've.

Bad Apples - Probably the most underrated, it's not the best song but it's not as bad as some people say, it has a catchy riff to it, I enjoy listening to it.

I've always liked Bad Apples it's a catchy Tune ,Though it's not one of my real favorites :hihi:

I agree with you, as I said before perhaps those songs are well know by us GNR lovers but if you talk about them with some who thinks that GNR is only November rain or SCOM or dont cry I think they will dont knwo what we are talking about.

well i think they are underrated because it would've been pretty hard to release a single and make a video for a song that has 7+ minutes. if someone tried that maybe people would know them. nov rain is an exception but even that video is being cut most of the times and not shown till the end.

I was just thinking about asking this question but now I see it's already been asked.

I think my pick for the most underrated GNR song would have to be "One in a Million." I think people were too stunned by the word "niggers" that they failed to see just how outstanding that song really is; it's the best track on Lies, in my opinion.

Another song that comes to mind is "My Michelle" which I rarely hear anyone discuss. It kicks major ass. As does "Dead Horse" which is another song that doesn't seem to get it's due.

Some people mentioned what was underrated with the overall public, and I guess with them I'd have to say "Estranged" and "Civil War." Those are amazing songs that everyone should know and yet so very few do. They both get their due among GNR fans, though; so I don't consider them totally underrated.

The public laughs its ass off about "Estranged". It's too long to be a single, the video is stupid, and aside from Slash's guitar riff, it's kind of boring. It doesn't deserve public attention, we should be glad it managed to fail quietly before too many people labeled the band whimpy.

I don't think that It's So Easy is a very underated song ::) But I gotta agree with the others you mentioned.. it's sad that Izzy left so early on UYI tour, so they had to bury 14 Years and Dust n' Bones. Great live songs : ok:

Absolutley agree and in that order. Those songs are some of the greatest buried treasure in the GNR catalog.

Agree with those who said Estranged for the wider public audience, musically that song is amazing  but perhaps a bit long for a single and a video that's a bit bloated. I wouldn't say Coma as almost every GNR fan recognises this song as brilliant so it's not really underated. A song I quite like that never gets mentioned is Anything Goes I really like it and find it really catchy.

Yeah for the general public it is Estranged by far and for Guns N' Roses fans I say "Shotgun Blues".
