And theres babes everywhere. Sorry about the visa prblem. Its a shame good folks get caught up in the security mess. My wife and I just love Orlando, and Disney (and Universal, etc). We're taking our 1 year old son in January (our 3 year old daughter has already been, twice). I'm lucky in that, just about every other year, I get to go down there for a conference..which means the trip is almost free, and we get put up in a Deluxe hotel. I'm counting the days! Have you been to Disneyland? Sorry if this is going too far off topic, but I'm curious if you've been to both since I was just having this discussion with someone. I've been to both, and while Disney World has more to do, I just don't think the "magic kingdom" even comes close to Disneyland. Of course, I'm a Disneyland freak. If you haven't been yet, you'd probably love it. I'm actually considering going for the Thanksgiving holidays...nuts, I know. If you haven't been yet, you'd probably love it.? I'm actually considering going for the Thanksgiving holidays...nuts, I know.? A couple of times, actually. And I do love it. But, for us, the trip is just much tougher to make, especially now, with young kids. We're from CT, so a trip to CA means 3 things that a trip to FLA does not: A MUCH longer flight, changing planes with layover, and a time change. With just my wife and I, it was a drag losing most of 2 days in travel. With the kids, now (3 yrs old and 1 yr old, respectively), it's just too tough. And we do prefer Florida for the vast number of things to do in a very small area. We tend to take LONG trips (10 days or more) so.... And, since DL is smaller than MK and has a much higher % of Annual Passholders, it seems to be more crowded even in the off season. But DL is, after all, the park that Walt built and, as I said, we do love it. Our next trip, however, will have to wait until the kiddies are bunches older. And you're thinking of going for Thanksgiving? With the 50th going on? You're right...you ARE nuts! :) |
