I don't know if this has been posted, but the guitar player from Virgin just did 20 questions with Sludge a few days ago, and this is a somewhat shocking statement he makes about Axl:

Hollywood is = that the Strip is there. It's in West Hollywood.
Guns n Roses is = that Axl wrote November Rain and Don't Cry.

axl co-wrote the original version of don't cry wrote and the alt lyricsa nov rain. so i don't see what's this guy tryin to say here...

Does anyone else think its strange how when the new lawsuit was being talked about, and Richard's email admitting this wasn't the year, people were begging to hear something from Mysteron. He didn't say shit. But when people start posting shit about chinese symbols and a minor Metal Sludge mention, he's all over it!

Wow Axl even gets bashed from the guitar player from Virgin. The lack of respect many musicians show Axl is kind of sad. I hope that Axl could shut them up some day.

Remember Axl has lawyers tsk tsk tsk  :peace:

Strange? Not really. Mysteron just chooses to post when he feels like it. It's not like he has "info" shooting out his ass or whatever. I dont think theres anything wrong with him wanting to sometimes reply to "normal" threads and not have everyone hang on his every word.

What people seem to fail to realize is that Mysteron is just a normal guy like you and me , only he has a famous family member which makes him privy to "info" every once in awhile. I dont think it's fair to jump on mysteron cause he hasnt been able to share any secrets as of late. I enjoy his posts regardless of if they have "info" or not.

For me the biggest misconception about GNR, is that,  AXL ROSE is GNR, that is bullshit, GNR is Axl, Duff, Izzy and Slash, as far as I know, Like it or not...                 nu gnr, is another topic...

I would say, Slash, Duff, Matt, Izzy, Steven, Axl, Gilby WAS Guns N`Roses.

GNR soul is, Axl, Izzy, Slash and duff     Im talking about the music we all know... the released albums, like it or not,...

and Nu Gnr, Honestly I only like Axl,  and I also know he has let the other guys to put some effort and ideas on it, ok, that is the ugly truth, but,.... I only wish, Axl is the only guy who puts the Lyrics.... I dont wanna read crap written buy  the other guys....

I imagine Axl will be doing all the lyrics but thats kind of a prejudicial statement against the other band members before you even let the music speak for itself and change your opinion otherwise...Tommy Stinson is already a legend in my book, and Brain was awesome in Primus..etc

Well man, I think you are right, I will have to listen to their work before of judging them... anyway I honestly think they are not the right Guys for GNR,  but, Gnr must go on, so lets wait and see...

Honestly I think there the perfect people to fulfill Axl's dream of taking both GnR's music and legacy to the next level in his own experimental way. Robin is going to add an industrial/spaced out blues touch, Tommy straight up soulful punk, if buckethead's music stays we know what to expect...add Brain who is a monster on drums and thats a pretty outlandish fusion of musical directions all of which I adore....see IRS ;)

mmm I have never listened to IRS, sadly  I dont know where to find a decent copy of it...

Fortus, Stinson, Brain, and Finck will never be Guns N' Roses.  When people mention GN'R, how often does Richard Fortus pop into your head.  When people think GN'R they think of Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, and Steve (or Matt).  Fortus and co. are hired Guns, and that's what most people see him as.
