Title: Madagascar and "Frozen"(Madonna)
Post by: nesquick on September 08, 2005, 05:12:03 AM
Back in 1998, "Frozen" was THE song wich made Madonna extremely popular again. It boosted her career. I see lots of similitaries between Madagascar and Frozen, both songs are mysterious, complexe, epic and...experimental (in a good way). They have the same vibe.
Do you see the similitaries?

I see yout point of view. In some way you have right. Ray of Light was the big come back for Madonna in music business. Right now she is popular than ever. Frozen is one of the most beautiful songs and videos made in last 15 years. In some way CD maybe become the same sucsessor like Madona`s Ray of Light.?

Music ray of light and the other hits she had about 5 years ago.. Hey look at mariah, she went from nutty bastard with failed movie n album to hottest thing going today..

Anyone can make a comeback.. I think in this time it would be good for axsl.. Retro bands are in, seems like a return to rock..

Now if this was 1999 when oh my god came out I think gnr was not going anywhere.. Korn n limp ruled the charts.//

Only one way to find out thought, axl needs to step up and release it..

Fuck even American Idiot saved a down the tubes career from Greenday

R' you kiddin', Chinese Democracy will put that bullshit to shame.

That Frozen song may be cool, but stuff like Ray of Light and Music has no place to be compared to Guns n' Roses....fuck no......is that musical guines or what, na, just another fuckin' trend follower just like her mate Mariah ::)

A bad song is a bad song, that's it. you can release it in 2025,1991 or 1999 or 2010, it will stay a bad song.
OMG was terrible, still is and still will be. There is no link with the "trends". Axl really made a big poo with that..."song" (if you consider this is music- I rather see it as noise).
The blues and Madagascar are absolutely better.

I have one story about Axl and Madonna.

1992 gnr played in Budampest, and one serbian pop-rock magazine done interview with Axl Rose. After interviws they gave Axl last ediction of that magazine, with Madona on the top,and then Axl said"What do that bitch done on the top"

I am one to think a gnr return now is just a better idea then it might had been in 99.. Gnr was really uncool and rap rock was selling many millions back then. I'm not a fan of omg but if it was released now it would have done better.. IMO just seems music is dead right now and retro is trendy

Mike, I completely agree with that. 2005 has definitely been a shitty year for music. Nothing of any value happened this year. Had Axl released it this year, he would have got some major publicity. I just wish he would release it before some new trend explodes on the scene. Imagine if a grunge type movement started next year, with several bands like Nirvana,Pearl Jam,etc. being the talk of the industry. Something like that would probably delay it for years. There have been several "right times" to release it, and Axl blew the opportunity. It's like he's asleep at the wheel.

definetly man, shitty emo groups are ruling, as well as greenday knock offs where the band looks like the average member is 16.. Kids from the burbs trying to be hardcore.... Same way hair metal became over saturated and people wanted chance is pretty close to how it is now.. Some stupid trend is waiting to hit.. Just like manson's crap ruled for a while, then korn n limp n kid rock.. This was definetly a great year to get in the ring..
