Title: What will be the 'tone' of the next statement?
Post by: jimmythegent on September 07, 2005, 06:20:48 PM
Lets for a minute consider that an announcment of some kind is coming soon. (I'm thinking any week now)

Given some of the previous 'announcments', do you think that Axl will be the guy who'll announce the release or would it be a better idea to leave it to the record company? I'd say there'll no doubt be more popshots at ex-members, i wonder how far he'll/they'll go?

Are we going to get a 'straight' infromative announcment, or are we in for another serving of 'dive in and find the monkey', 'burning hills' and/or bizarre, overly self-conscious ramblings?

As always, I'm really looking forward to it. I find Axls media releases fascinating.

I don't think there will be an announcement until after the November trial.  Depending on the outcome, it should at least be hopeful.

I say we should hear something around late November of a mid 2006 release,  only because there's way to much happening in the world today, that's just my opinion..

I guarantee that the suit affects the licensing deal with Sanctuary which covered the publishing for the old and new catalog. I would bet that those legal issues would need to be ironed out before the album would proceed.

Something to the effect of "Chris Pittman has left the building"? I hope not. It'll be... "Well, the album is still being mixed and we've finally got the art work and...." The same thing we've got from Stinson and Mantia. I figure the next Merck or Axl statement will be a regurgatation of what we've already heard.

yes it is now the hurricane's fault for the delay of cd.... :hihi: I can't imagine the tone of the announcement if there ever is one..

I'm at a point of such disbelief that I can't imagine axl ever making a statement with a set date for this album...

I see a lot more dizzy tommy brain not knowing what is going on before anything offical comes out

Axl-----

I was not aware that i was supposed to be making a new Record, management did not inform me that i have a new band and that we did a tour under the banner of `chinese democracy`. There are no new recording that i am aware of and how come the band i play with has a new lead singer and goes under the name of `VR` .................and an even bigger point is.................how come the dates on my computer and newspaper says its 2005! where the fuck have i been for the last 10 years!!!???

I don't think there will be a statement anytime soon, and i also don't think we have even one concrete proveable reason to believe there's a chance it will happen soon.

lawyers speak at trials....Axl can move forward all he wants to - this will not be a reason.. this isn't the OJ case - he won't be called to give testimony - null factor at best

You people know nothing about me as a gnr fan from the start.. People are way to optomistic, any other band doing this would be persicuted by gnr  fans

Was it not Zak wylde who said that he wished axl would stop thinking he was a lawyer and start being a rockstar again? I think there wont be a annoucment till all this shit with slash and duff blows over which could be years off.

he said something like that, i forget really.. I really feel for the guys in the band, they must had though there would be a career with axl and be able to create killer music and be able to support it by touring and being  a band... Must be tought to be apart of something so big but never be able to let your music be heard..

I agree for the most part but I think if that were going to happen, it would have done so already. Unless he walks away from the project, the label & management will work with him to get it out.

whatever happens, happens.. of course you want it to be done on a friendly note since you want axl himself to plug the damn album and do shows to go with it..  A lot of people say well brian wilson took 30 years or whatever, but I bet he didn't have a price tag like cd does.. Unless they just get fed up with it and hope a new album done with a gnr name will sell itself.. GH's did damn well for an album not supported by anyone.
I don't want it to happen because half the fun is seeing videos and going to see them live.. No one wants an album the lead singer doesn't support.. Not to mention the desention that would cause between his band mates who want to have it out...

Chinese Democracy has only really been delayed once - all the other times are just stupid rumor starters saying it's coming out at the end of this year, they get everyone excited, and then Axl and co. take the blame because they've gotten nothing better to write about.

Yeah, it's taken a while, but it's not like Axl has promised us 10 times of a release date.

Actually it was a joke. In one way it has been delayed only once, in another way it has been delayed alot more. Back in 1999/2000, And when Axl said in 2004 that they will be back with a release date in a "few" months.. And there have been alot of spaculations in the band. And promises that the record will be out """"""Soon"""""" So, i think its fair to say that theyr plan has been change more then it would normaly do. But i dont blame Axl or anyone else for it. Im sure that thay have valid reasons. But anyway, the fans is the one it will dissapoint. Axlfault or not. But i say it again. I dont blame anyone before we know the reasons for the delay!

Once again we've been ignored by Axl and Management. What ever happened to the fan club ? What ever happened to the acknowledgement of your fans who support you...the tone looks and sounds deaf...so the mood is fuck you and your music..
