Hey its not Matt/Duff/Slash or Dave's fault that Scott is the way he is.
I personally would like to  see anyone else at that spot rather than Scott too.
He is the kind of guy you wouldn't even want to meet or ask for autograph even if you could do so.
I would personally like to see there Gilby,  Izzy or Billy Duffy (although I never listened to Cult).

Maybe that hoobastank guy should shut the fuck up. rather have no "bonds" between hoobatank and VR.
I guess hes trying to milk the last drop of celebrity theres left for them.

i wouldn't know about that, they seem to sell a lot more than vr in europe. at least they're on the radio all the time.
besides the guy has the right to his opinion, he met scott, therefor he has something to base his opinion on.
when i was in the VR meet and greet i could tell scott was the diva around there. he was in his hotel room screaming at some poor women from universal, i happened to call her cuz the band was running late and i could hear him screaming on the other side. the band came, minus scott, and said he was feeling under the weather. i couldn't give a fuck cuz i never liked the guy, i was there for the gn'r part of the band. but some people in there were STP fans and pretty upset. even tho' they were not surprised.

maybe someone in the band was rude to him or didn't have the time he expected to show him the ropes or give him the time of day.. Not everyone can like each person they meet... If the guy is being honest then I see nothing wrong with saying it..

don't know if you are joking or not but they opened for vr in north america.. They had a big emo hit in the usa with a song The Reason.

I love VR but Scott doesn't seem to have the easiest going personality in the world. He seems very tempermental to me. Oh well, if the rest of the band can deal then I guess it's all good. : ok:

That's the legend of the rock singer though isn't it? lol  He's not the first, nor the last to be awkward.  Who cares?  He imo is a fantastic frontman.

Why dosent this guy just shut his fucking mouth...One hit that theyve played for like a year now..Its getting fucking old so give up..VR are already legendary..there whole album kicks ass not one song..so shut the fuck up

How bout Matt "Two Faced" Sorum gonna talk shit about Hoobastank and then be buddies with them on the tour. Of course he did the same thing to Axl, so Id rather have Scott who is honest with his feelings than Matt Sorum who sucks whoevers dick is around at the time.

I do recall Matt making a comment about Hoobastank's name, did he also make negative comments about the band itself or it's members?

I think he just said something about the name but I could be wrong. I hate the name myself.

Well we all know It's about Scott. The guy is a frontman, these things are going to happen. Personsally, if Scott was a dick to me, I'd tell him to fuck off and remind him that he is no better then a fucking bum (after all the shit he put his family through). Instead of whining like a bitch to the press about how much of a dick he is.

He didn't actually say who the person was, it probably is Scott but you know how Matt can sometimes act like a dick...
I'm sad to admit this but HB isn't that bad, I'd never buy any of their albums or tickets to their shows butthey're not in my top 10 most hated bands

Same here. Then he asked if there were any Journey fans and they started to play the beginning of "dont stop believing" .

VR probably dont like Hoobastank very much and Hoobastank was offended. It was a lame putdown. Im sure VR blowed them off the stage every nite, so who cares what that guy says. He saw a real band VR, and found out Hoobastank cant compare with them.

I thought that was Scott at a more recent concert? I remember Duff saying something about Hoobastank not being a real rock n roll band in an interview, or it could have been Nickleback, I'm not sure. Anybody remember that?

haha yea my concert too.  I actually felt sorry for them at that point b/c the whole crowd was laughing their asses off at how bad it was.

haha i noticed that too at the concert at the santa barbra bowl, it was funny cuz the crowd went wild when he said that, then they imidiatly calmed down when they started to play again. Anyone else go to that show? (santa barbra bowl)

I'm going to take this time to point out the NHL was on a lock-out, not a strike and there is a difference.

Do you know what emo even is? I have a total and utter hatred for both Hoobastank and the genre of music known as Emo, and their shitty Reason song is not emo. Emo is far worse. Listen to Glassjaw or Dashboard Confessional for some examples of the utter shit that is Emo.

It seems you always hear this about Scott, to each there own but when i met VR Scott was actually really easy going. He even joked around with my girlfriend who had a Def Leppard 'Slang' shirt on saying "there is a t shirt you dont see very often I like it that is a good record " . I thought out of the whole band Scott and Duff were the easiest going.  We must have met him on a good day.

Dave was the one member in VR that really put everything he had into his performance at the concert I attended. Slash and Duff put off a strong vibe that they just didn't want to be there at all. And Hoobastank may not have a lot of hits, but they rocked so much harder on stage than VR.

Right. Hoobastank rocks harder then no one. Those guys are a bunch of pussies, and the guitar player poses by holding his guitar in the air like some douche bag who is getting a rectal exam and loving every minute of it. Mind you he can only deliver power chord progressions with no soloing (You can obviously tell that he practiced posing in the mirror with his guitar instead of playing it). They rocked so hard that people decided to flick them off at the show I went to. Maybe giving the finger means "you guys are cool". When I was growing up, it meant "Fuck you".

Those guys have the stage presence of William Hung on bad day. Hoobastank is a horrible pop-rock band who was lucky enough to know Brandon Boyd from Incubus (who got them a record deal).

I agree with dave.. Could have fooled me with duff and slash at the shows I have been there... Shit they were all over..

As for hoobastank there is no way they rocked harder.. One main reason is most opening bands I see the crowd isn't really into them, and second not all the speakers are even on...

The show I went to was obviously different from yours. I enjoyed VR's performance because they played the songs very well, but they just didn't look like they were having a good time.

I'm not saying Hoobastank is a better band. I just felt like they were enjoying the experience more.

Scott and Dave put the most into it, Duff walked around some, but Slash didnt really move and kept fuckin up like crazy on guitar.

Hoobastank rockin is an oxymoron to the 10th power.

Let me make myself clear, I love Slash, Duff, Matt, and Mr. Scott. I was just saying that they lacked some enthusiasm at the particular show I attended. Maybe they were sleepy, I don't know. I honestly wasn't trying to bash them. They're perfect at what they do, they're legends. I meant no disrespect.

Thats weird cuz slash did one of the best live performances i have ever seen, he moved somewhat but not alot but it worked out bettter for me since his equipment was right in front of me. Duff i didnt see much of, but i do agree dave was putting 100% into his performace and not a bit less, along with the rest of the guys. But unfourtunately i could not hear scott at all in the pit.
