Title: Ballad revolving around the trilogy. Post by: Lady Livin on September 06, 2005, 08:42:46 PM I just got through composing this ballad, which consists of twenty stanzas with each having four lines. That was how much I had to have, anyway, even though this isn't due until next week. When I thought of "ballad," I was immediately reminded of the Guns n' Roses Illusions Trilogy, and that is exactly what the following revolves around. I mean, it more than revolves -- it basically reiterates. I'm so fucking proud of it, so enjoy!
Only Twenty-Eight A pistol in my left, a bottle in my right I forced my way through the snow It seemed to be approaching night And I was yearning to have you know Our fists took control of the two of us Spewing hatred at one another We were raising such a ruckus As I had found another lover I saw you knock that blonde right out And shatter the glass in her face Slapping her frustratingly about Unfaithfulness had been the case I went in for diagnosis Seemed to be more inside my head It was revealed to me my psychosis And I'd have felt better off just dead I was nearly thirty when it occurred Reincarnation was my fate A new beginning I then procured On that 20th century date I put out my last cigarette Consumed the pills to help me sleep Although there was thunder, I did not fret For the slumber was incredibly deep You walked down the aisle, white as a dove With a firm grip on your bouquet It was so very obvious that we were in love On that calm November day I placed the diamond on your hand And you did the same for mine Who knew these very wedding bands Wouldn't stand the test of time My best man left prematurely Soon found himself outside Unleashed a solo, albeit beautifully Like the calm before the tide The rice was thrown above us As we rushed out of the church You seemed a tad bit nervous Since you'd recently left your perch At dusk, I chose to walk alone And at one point, passing a store A sign for GUNS was clearly shown Unaware of what it was for We were back at the reception Together, slicing the cake We had everyone's attention And all for lover's sake Suddenly the rain came pouring down Guests scattering everywhere On you, a blood-soaked wedding gown Suicide was in the air I walked beside my bandmates Down the very aisle we had wed And I reflected on your chosen fate That had you end up dead Don't you think that you need somebody Don't you think that you need someone Everybody needs somebody You're not the only one Police lights were shining bright As a SWAT team searched my house They hurried in with flashlights But I was as quiet as a little mouse And in my dream, I was with him The son you'd left behind No one knew how, why, or when And I couldn't very well rewind I gathered my things in Malibu A bodyguard by my side The sky was that of ocean blue And I slept in the limo ride I took a drag on another smoke As I walked down Sunset Strip And dolphins followed, stroke by stroke As I envisioned my own death crypt I climbed atop the aircraft carrier The sky remaining an ocean blue And I jumped right over the barrier Since I couldn't bear to live without you Title: Re: Ballad revolving around the trilogy.
