Title: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: nesquick on September 02, 2005, 02:11:31 PM http://www.gnrforum.com/showthread.php?t=7213
"Is the official Guns and Rose forum? I have a query for hardcore Guns and Roses fans I went home to the states this Summer and I heard this most amazing song by Guns and Roses and I want to find out where to get it. I currently study in Paris. I am back now. But went I went home this Summer I was out with some friends in San Fran and we went to a club where we met up with some new friends of one of my old school friends. He drove us to a party which was taking place, and he played a Guns and Roses song in his car. It was burned onto a CD with some other songs. I asked what it was and he said it was a new Guns and Roses song. He said a friend of his worked with them a while back. The song was called something like Paradoxy or Parody and Paroxy. Something like that. And it was the greatest song I have ever heard. It sounded like Led Zeppelin. It was really heavy. But it was more accessible. I cannot describe it. The melodies were so killer though. I love big songs and I want to get my hands on it Does anyone here know what the song is or know where I can get it?" Take it with a grain of salt, if somebody can contact the guy it would be cool. Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Nytunz on September 02, 2005, 02:13:15 PM it is strange... i guess it would be on the internet if anyone have anything...
Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Saul on September 02, 2005, 02:15:54 PM The song is called "Proxy" and it's a song about how axl uses proxy servers so that he can post on message boards without anyone knowing.
Axl's web browser starts now! Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Buddha_Master on September 02, 2005, 02:20:56 PM How is this a rumor? What is the rumor here? Isn't Proxy the shit chocoholics with pimples put on their face?
Fuck sound like a cool topic for a song, I want to hear it. Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Aero on September 02, 2005, 02:26:11 PM Yeah sure... there's a guy with a burned CD with new gnr tracks, driving his car & playing that CD, and showing the new tracks to any "friend of my friend" who gets into his car?
let's do a kazaa search of the song :hihi: Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: ppbebe on September 02, 2005, 02:35:40 PM Quote He said a friend of his worked with them a while back. I ignore this bit for now. Quote The song was called something like Paradoxy or Parody and Paroxy Paradise city '02? Quote or Parody and Paroxy. And it was the greatest song I have ever heard. It sounded like Led Zeppelin. Riyadh and the Bedouins? Quote And it was the greatest song I have ever heard. It sounded like Led Zeppelin. It was really heavy. But it was more accessible. IRS? Now back to the first quote..... Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Genesis on September 02, 2005, 03:49:28 PM Bullshit. If the song was the 'greatest song he's ever heard' why would post asking for it on a gnr forum? Can't he contact his friends? The song was probably Paradise City anyway... ::)
Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Skeletor on September 02, 2005, 04:05:42 PM What a shitty rumor, they don't make 'em like they used to.
Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: killingvector on September 02, 2005, 04:58:44 PM So we are getting rumors from people who heard a song on their friends' burned mix CD and thinks that it is a leaked track?
Wow. Could this get any better? Maybe the friend works the register at Sam Goody..... Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Mr. Dick Purple on September 02, 2005, 05:01:42 PM The song is called "Proxy" and it's a song about how axl uses proxy servers so that he can post on message boards without anyone knowing. Proxy aren't just programs that can filter your webs and connection? ???Axl's web browser starts now! Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: ppbebe on September 02, 2005, 05:19:06 PM Oh shit, I have one but this is a true story
my friend told me that the other day someone he knew claimed they heard a new gnr song called "The Strip Bar" on the net radio. :hihi: Has anyone here ever heard of the song? Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: jameslofton29 on September 02, 2005, 05:21:28 PM 100% pure bullshit. Like one of you guys already said, why doesn't this dipshit just ask his friend for the song, instead of asking for it at a GNR forum. Its a lame attempt at getting attention.
Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: mikegiuliana on September 02, 2005, 05:29:30 PM sounded like zepplin, maybe it was riyad
Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Mikkamakka on September 02, 2005, 05:51:22 PM sounded like zepplin, maybe it was riyad  Silkworms, without a doubt. Axl's web browser starts now! Saul you are too funny man. Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: nesquick on September 02, 2005, 06:31:37 PM I change the title ("very unlikely"). If there is no confirmation in the days to come, then the mods could lock it.

Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: ppbebe on September 02, 2005, 06:55:56 PM Cheer up Nes! It was nevertheless a fun thread. thanks for sharing. And who knows?
Me still want to make sure of "the strip bar" being pure BS, likewise. Quote Silkworms, without a doubt. Nay, in that case, the proxy guy would say it sounded like John Lydon on some Radioheads+Art of noise+the Zaum?3 Well maybe not really but almost. Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: dave-gnfnr2k on September 02, 2005, 07:12:28 PM Im not saying its true but why call it bullshit when no one knows if its true or not. Remember that kid that had IRS and this board called him names, and guess what it turns out that he really did have it. So instead of bashing this person, why not just ask this person to contaact his friend and get the song.
Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: Pandora on September 02, 2005, 08:52:11 PM Me still want to make sure of "the strip bar" being pure BS, likewise. Strip Bar is a fake song that has been circulating on P2P networks for a long time. Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: Lord Kayoss on September 02, 2005, 09:16:38 PM It sounded like Led Zeppelin. It was really heavy. Something's not adding up. Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: Walk on September 02, 2005, 10:01:12 PM Something's not adding up. Oh, come on. Zeppelin was heavy for their time. They weren't Black Sabbath, but they were very intense compared to nearly all the other hard rock bands around. Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: kyrie on September 02, 2005, 11:11:17 PM Bullshit. If the song was the 'greatest song he's ever heard' why would post asking for it on a gnr forum? Can't he contact his friends? The song was probably Paradise City anyway...? ::) He said (on GNRForum) that it wasn't PC and he has all the old GNR stuff and the leaked tracks. He said it was a "friend of a friend" who had it, not his friends, maybe they can't get it? Convenient... but I'd rank this rumor as "mildly interesting" if only because a) it's a title we've never heard before and b) the IRS cd did get out there (and took over a year to leak the one track that was aired). Someone's got a source... be nice if they'd let something slip... i.e. one of the other tracks from that IRS disc. Title: Re: A new rumour Post by: Krispy Kreme on September 02, 2005, 11:20:06 PM The song is called "Proxy" and it's a song about how axl uses proxy servers so that he can post on message boards without anyone knowing. Axl's web browser starts now! Now that is funny! ( I am not being sarcastic). Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: Lord Kayoss on September 03, 2005, 01:46:38 AM Something's not adding up. Oh, come on. Zeppelin was heavy for their time. This is true but the supposed guy this quote came from is speaking from today's point of view. I mean I don't know about you but when I hear bands like Rammstein, Kittie, Deicide, hell even albums like Appetite For Destruction I'm not sitting there saying "whoa this reminds me of Led Zeppelin." Just sounds like yet another badly conceived rumor. Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: makane on September 03, 2005, 05:31:22 AM Please dont mention AFD & Ra****** in same post

Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: WARose on September 03, 2005, 08:30:31 AM well it could have been prostitute.... or this guy listened to oh my god... or he`s just an idiot who wants to get some attention : ok:
Title: Re: A new rumour [very unlikely] Post by: nesquick on September 03, 2005, 10:09:02 AM there is sill no news so...if a mod wants to lock it, there is no problem.

Strip Bar is a fake song that has been circulating on P2P networks for a long time. Thanks Pandora. So it's, as it were, a phantasm on the net like "my fav pillow". Sure enough! Now I can tell them. Asking here is worth a try. |
