Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Man, wish i could give
you more answers. ChiDem is not completely finished.? However, it is
close.? Trust me, I can't wait for you to have the cd in your hands

(as are Tommy, Brain, Robin, Diz and Capt.A).? We can't wait to get

i know this is my first post but i am now wondering why it isnt finished?? if 05 is the year it should be done! well at least they're all still together

I would bet that with all that is goning on, that these guys are still sending tracks and listeing, to things ,and they are. They are basically in contact  pretty regularly, I know that from when I hung out with richard a few times in Ny at gigs he did here and there. And the scope and what parts that will now be on or even tunes may have changed . BUt its good to know that he still includes himself and the others as being part of the band. THats something I never had any doubts about.

Hey at least they arnt rushing to get it finished for the end of the year. They still got a few months.

wow. the second piece of disappointing news in as many days on the GNR front.
it really is hard being a fan of Axl - the least the guy could do is release a statement of some kind to his fans, to show even a modicum of respect to them.

I'm not surprised by this at all. Over the past month or so, several people told me it wasn't gonna happen this year. I'm just glad it was a band member, instead of one of you "insiders", that revealed the bad news to the fans. Anyone else notice how Chris Pittman wasn't mentioned as being in GNR? Oh well, he wasn't a real band member anyways. :D

What I like about this situation is how Sp1at interviews him on a regular basis and we dont hear shit from him but a normal fan writes to him and he gives some info. Very cool move on Richard's part. I just hope Axl doesn't fire him over the comments. Remember, Gilby was fired for saying even less.

So it's almost done, like it's been almost done for the past 5 years  ;D

How do you know this James? Its just your opinion thats all. None of know anything at all! I personally believe that the album will be out this year, but I dont know that for sure. If people attack you for saying that sort of thing, its because they believe in it and are hopeful for a release this year still!

On a slightly different note, does anyone think its a little strange that their has been an awful lot of gossip, rumours and chatter about the guns world in the last few days? After a very long time of silence. I know maybe its me grabbing at straws but it makes me wander if there is something happening!

Pittman not being mentioned may mean he just contrubited for a peroiod of time durning the writing and recording process. Two keyboard players is a bit much. It was time for Axl to cut the payroll.

Yay. Plus,
till now Richard has been repeating "it's done" all the way. So this time it's different. He sounds a bit more concrete. Maybe a good omen. :D

Sorry it has taken over a year to respond. Yes, ass warts really suck and Axl has a bad case of them.  Last month we did some recording and wrote a song about it. We hope to put it on Chinese Democracy or the follow up album. Hang in there. Thanks for the e-mail.

estranged33, I think there has been news and "chatter" these past few days because GNR(or those close to GNR) felt the need to let people know a little early that this is not the year. I'm surprised at how little attention this thread is getting. Apparently there's alot of people here in a huge state of denial. This is the first real news we've had all year. People are all over that lawsuit thread, and thats just 'more of the same'. Richard has the balls to let the cat out of the bag, and nobody gives a fuck. Strange. :confused:

Funny how this news spread like wildfire. About 3 people in all the forums knew, and then Richard emails someone the news, and everyone(including Sp1at) is all over it. Whats even funnier, about a month ago that August 18th creep posted a Sp1at article about a CD release being close at hand. Even naming most of the tracks for CD. ?I have a question: Do you think Sp1at will retract that "article"?

Is Axl really a nutball recluse cut off from the real world?  There could be some truth to it when the head of his record company and his own band mates seem to have no real idea about when the album is released.  Can they even get in touch with him?

All this email really says is that he has given up hope of a release this year but there is always 2006. ::)

I did get an e-mail forwarded to me (without the headers though) and Richard does answer e-mails, so it's possible he wrote that. But this is the world of GN'R, you can never really be 100% sure....

Out of anything said over the past few days, point out somewhere that someone has said, sorry 2005 is not the year. Certainly not in anything I've read. I'm not saying '05 will or will not be the year CD is going to come out, but it's unfair to jump to baseless conclusions.

I agree with Richard cuz if a record takes this long to put together i would too make sure its perfect so the time spend on it wouldnt go to waste. I'm just conserned about the fact that do the people who organize those tours have the fait to put money on that band cuz they never know if there will be cancelled shows agen as i read somewhere that those tours doesnt come cheap and they require, least the 2002 tour required year n a half of planning before they could do it

James mate, no one knows if the album is coming out this year or next or whenever, apart from Axl and those closest to him! We dont know if this e-mail from Richard is even fucking legit! I for one do not believe for a second that Richard would e-mail somebody with that sort of info, when the whole process of Chinese Democracy has been shrouded in such secrecy! Not a fucking chance! I havent given this thread that much attention purely because we dont know if its official! Can you imagine Axl letting Richard e-mail some random dude to tell him that the album that is so secret is not finished? Yeh right!!! and yeah ppbebe richard always said it`s finished since`04                   (or whenever) and now he says it`s not finished. hopefully it`s a good sign. splat said in their newest article that axl was seen driving to a studio, but since it`s coming from splat....  i think there`s definitely something going on in the gnr camp, but we`ll see...

In Chris defense, he could be very valuable to the recording and touring process IF CD will be released.

Well, its not just Richard that said it. I've heard it from different people over the past month. Then Richard says it, making me believe they were telling the truth. So you guys think this is intentional disinformation being put out? Maybe the semi-calm before the storm? Interesting.
