it could be another rumor but i herd it this morning.it was said in a chatroom so take it for what it's worth another rumor i guess.but did anyone here this yet ?

Maybe he lost something while he was there. I don't think he would've gone back to do Rock In Rio 3 if he had been the victim of a violent crime during his stay there. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I think they were just looking for a fight. They didn't even know who he was. That was back in 1989-90 and GN'R were virtually unknown in France.

Not to be an ass......but I don't think a chatroom is probably your best source of news, especially GNR related.  I bet Axl leaves his mansion with that shotgun from the Rip magazine shoot.  He was badass in those pics.  Axl should grow the beard back out, put on the catcher's vest and kilt, get his shiney aviator sunglasses and flannel back on and kick some ass.

a while ago, someone who pretended to be Earl (Axl's bodyguard) did an interview via Email with blabbermouth (or whoever?), and he mentioned the robbery. that was the first time i'd heard about that. so most probably, the story's made up (just like the rest of the interview, they found out that he really wasn't Earl).

The incident in Rio did happen in '91, even though I can't find the original source for it for the life of me.

That "Earl interview" likely was fabricated, but whoever did it dropped in a lot of facts to make it more credible.

I once read that Axl had a knife pulled on him in Brazil whilst out walking the streets. In stead of putting up a fight he (apparentely) handed over a ring from one of his fingers. The ring was rumoured to have been worth about $125,000.00
Reading the other posts here, maybe it was a Rolex (and not a ring thoug ;) )

Rumours and more rumours, for once in this "GNR story",  I would like to know, realistic information, by the way the other day I read a story of a girl who swears to have met Axl Rose in a 2002 concert, damn, everyone says whatever the fuck they want...
