Title: Slash interview on ESPN2
Post by: pekstein on August 05, 2005, 02:47:30 PM
i haven't seen this posted so here goes....

Saw Slash give a short interview to Linda Cohen last night on ESPN 2 at the XGames.  apparently he's a big BMX fan.  Cohen introduced him and said something like "when i see you, i cant help but think of guns n roses...."  Slash interrupted and said "yeah but now i'm in this great new band Velvet Revolver...we're really huge and successful" and then there was a few seconds of awkward silence.  then slash started talking about the xgames and how he was a BMXer back in the day before he started playing guitar.  It was pretty interesting.  he said he still has a bike.  they wrapped it up by talking about camp freddy and some other band that was playing. can't remember the name.

but yeah thats about it.  it was a quick 3 minute interview.  slash looks pretty good, but doesn't sound all that well.  kind of slow in the head.  too much jack daniels i guess.

Interesting, Camp Freddy is playing an X Games party (private gig) at the House of Blues on Sunset tonight.  It'll be a guitar slingers dream, Jerry Cantrell, Billy Duffy, Slash and CF charter member Dave Navarro scheduled to appear...
