Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I was looking in the back of the booklet that came with the Iron Maiden album 'Brave New World' (Released 2000) and was surprised to see 'Managed by Merck Mercuriadis for Sanctuary Music', I automatically recognised this name as being linked to GNR & Chinese Democracy. I had no idea he managed Iron Maiden. My question is how much does he really know about the current state of GNR?? I know he has said in statements this year that '2005 will b the year of GNR' which get's me excited but he has so many other bands to manage it would seem that surely all of his focus is not purely on GNR and CD.  Do we even know that he has regular contact with Axl and co?? Axl just seems so hard to reach I find it hard to believe anyone talks to him! Even band members (like Brain) say it's been over a year since they last spoke to him.

Its not what he knows. Its what he is allowed to tell us.

No matter what anyone says it will only be speculation on our part. The most we can do is quite the various statements he has made and speculate.

Let's hope 05 is the year and the album does indeed happen and we can end our speculations and rumors.  : ok:

If he really knows a lot why does he tell us practically nothing?? You say he only tells us what Axl let's him!? If he manages Sanctuary surely he can tell us whatever he wants? Why doesn't he tell us if a tour or album is really planned for this year or early next year?? Or at least if Bucketheads parts are still on CD. There's so much us fans want to know about the project, he should at least tell us something.

'2005 will be the year for GNR' he says, but NOTHING is pointing towards that being true and we're nearly in August  :'(

maybe even Axl isnt alowed to say anything, before they have everything ready! Maybe they all have e agreement about keeping everything seacret until the very end of the progress! Who fucking knows! i guess there will be ALOT of info to upload when things finaly start happening!

I believe he does know a lot but he can't share anything with anyone besides the label, I guess.

i dunno.. but i'm guessing he knows a lot more than he lets on because if MY record label put in 13 million dollars and counting into an album, i'd make sure i know everything about that album..

Im sure that Merck heard some tracks. But he has no idea when Axl plans on releasing this. All Axl's state of the art studio facilities are gone...he only has left a studio to record vocals, so theres not much tweaking to be done on record, besides mastering.

I think and hope Merck would know exactly what is going on with the band and with Axl.  Regardless of what he lets the public know, he should know exactly what's happening with them.

Merck is the last person we heard from on the subject. Either he has the inside info or an incurable optomist.

Axl has a state of the art studio in his house remember. He can tweak whatever he wants for years and years and years.
