It's really getting pathetic. He is not the same person he used to be. Its strange how someone who cares about what others think just sits back while he gets turned into a pop culture joke. If you look closely, everyone that criticizes Axl is either jealous of him, or they are not even close to being in the same league with him successfully and musically. Remember when Jakob Dylan made some comment about Axl? I dont remember what he said, but it was pathetic. Who is he to publicly criticize Axl? The Wallflowers have one good song. He doesn't have a good enough resume to be putting down Axl.

They used to bash him at every corner, except then he had records and songs which defended him, and people took note of that. He doesn't have to tell them to fuck off, it won't achieve anything really, all it will do is spread more stupid comments, he must just release the damn record, and let them all feel like shit by themselves.
