Title: GN'R mention in latest issue of MAD magazine
Post by: Mattman on July 11, 2005, 06:29:25 PM
In the latest issue of MAD, they mention Axl and Guns N' Roses in their parody of Batman Begins.  At the beginning, as is the custom with MAD parodies, there's a big splash page with all the characters introducing themselves.  Michael Caine as Alfred the butler says something along the lines of waiting for Bruce Wayne to come back to his travels and in the meantime, "I feel like the bass player in the new Guns N' Roses, always waiting around and looking at antiques in my spare time."  Something like that.

Yeah, I know, this isn't really big news, but what the hell...when you're a GN'R fan you take what you can get.

Yeah, CD is definitely becoming the all time pop culture joke. Pretty sad that Axl's career has come to this. Maybe at some point in the future, Axl can redeem himself.
