i know you guys are mods here, but you really should get INTO the board and be a real member, not a robot.

I kind of see where you're coming from but if the mods acted like us, or at least like me, this place would be a dump. Its their job to act like robots and I would imagine it's hard for them not to participate all the time because they have to be cleaning up. Give them a break

Most of the discussions have been beaten to death anyway, I just don't feel like I have anything to say that I haven't already said. If I think a thread is interesting, I will participate (and if you didn't just skip through the whole thing, you would see I do participate from time to time).

As for the VMA thing, it was a thread obviously created with the objective of a mod locking it. As Izzy said, it's something that's been discussed tons of times, and this year like any year, speculations are completely baseless. So at least wait until there's a slight possibility that it might happen. If we let threads like this pollute this board, it would be a total dump.

But if you think it's a really interesting topic to discuss, why don't you go do it at gunsnroses.us? At least you are sure it won't be deleted since you're a mod over there if memory serves right  : ok:

As moderators, we've been here a while, and so have read it all before.  :P

as i recall pandoras box never had anything inside it about posting on GNR forums...unless you count "hope" as GNR related  :hihi:

it's just that vmas are everyyear, and well, since we dont have much news on gnr, waiting and speculating is basicaly what gnr fans do.

i understand that a vmas thread can appear as useless and futile. but it depends on how the members use it and make it evolve.
you see, the thread could have brought discussion like 'should they do it ?, is it a strategic move for them ...what song shoud they play ? ..... you just talking about guns n roses, this is what gnr fan like that do ..."

I don't see how it could have evolved in an interesting way. After all, it didn't evolve last year and the year before that. Here's what I picture would have happened : someone would have said "it would certainly be cool to see them, but I'm not sure they will appear", and someone else would have said "I don't think they will appear, but it would be nice to see them". See what I mean? It's pointless. And it only takes half a brain to figure out that for a band with no activity whatsoever, playing at the VMAs is not a smart strategic move.
I understand rumours and speculations are almost all we have, but I think only those which have some sort of credibility should be discussed. Otherwise we could go on and on about anything that goes through our heads.
