Title: Brand New Sin
Post by: Cornell on June 10, 2005, 09:52:07 AM
I had posted about them a year or so ago.  They are a local rock band near me and aren't too bad.  They are going to tour Europe this year which is awesome for a local band!  Their newest album is called Recipe for Distruction!  : ok:  Anyone here ever heard of them?

I've got a demo with a couple songs on it.  They're pretty good.

I've heard one of their songs, "Black and Blue". It's a pretty good song.

Cool!  : ok:  That's a new song of theirs.  I was expecting someone to say that they knew "My World".

Brand New Sin is the shit. The album Recipe For Disaster is just low down gritty kick you in the balls hard rock and metal. The dueling guitars are waaaaayy overdue in a comeback and BNS does it amazing, especially if you see them live, I got the chance to when I went to see The Society and they played a kick in the face 45 minute opening set. Bought their album the next day and have been a fan ever since.

That description sounds pretty cool, I might have to check them out.
What other band would you compare them to sound-wise?

Eh.. I'd say around the BLS and Pantera feel. The singer has a far from cookie - cutter voice. Brown Street Betty, The Loner, Days are Numbered, Arrived, Another Reason, Runnin' Alone, Deadman Walkin'. Damn I named most the album.. Its a great band and album.. You can listen to it start to finish. You wont be disapointed.
