Title: for the people who think that site is going to have new gnr tracks Post by: dave-gnfnr2k on June 04, 2005, 02:58:05 PM "IMPORTANT: Please note that, contrary to some rumours and misquotes circulating on the Internet this afternoon, the Matchstick Cats specials do not involve new album tracks by Guns'n'Roses"
"I've noticed in the last hour there are some interesting rumours being spread around the Internet this afternoon which are inaccurate variations on our original announcement and are not accurate. Let me reiterate, we do not have any new album materal by the band Guns 'n' Roses. And if we did, it would obviously not be legitimate to use it. What we have, as stated clearly on the home page and elsewhere, is a "Matchstick Cats GNR New Tracks Special" - two specials revolving around new gnr tracks. This being MatchstickCats.com, they do of course involve the cats. And although some cats can sing almost as well as Axl, I hope nobody has unreasonable expectations." "We own them because they are a MatchstickCats.com production. Simple as that. Do we have to explain everything forty three times? I thought GNR enthusiasts were supposed to be intelligent. That's the rumour I heard, anyway. Maybe they're just like those idiot-savants. You know, those guys who know everything about one particular subject, like for example advanced algebra, or sitting at the side of the railway looking at the mighty GNR Locomotive as it steamrolls on into eternity, but are incapable of understanding everything else. Just come back next week and it'll all be clear. Have some Patience. (Oh that's the name of a rock album or something isn't it?) No need to piss your knickers everybody. " "I'm pleased to say these specials were an in house production, fully owned by MatchstickCats.com. After next week I'll be happy to entertain offers from anyone who wishes to purchase the rights. I'm going to hold back on the titles for today. Already I've given out more info than I should But I appreciate that you would be doubtful about the whole thing. I can only ask you to check back next week when the Matchstick Cats GNR New Tracks Special Part 1 will appear as promised." In response to the question "Is the 2 new tracks live ones from the 2002 tour?ause Axl wouldn't give you guys fuck all before the album is released." he wrote "Nope. You're not even warm. Guess again" "MatchstickCats.com abhors all illegality and will never knowingly do anything that is illegal. I agree. If your website SUCKS so much that you have to try and fool people(although I don't see how anyone could be fooled by this) to get hits on your site, that's pretty pathetic. Maybe you should think about a new line of work. Try politics. They're always looking for people who like to lie and misrepresent things. All legally, of course.Title: Re: for the people who think that site is going to have new gnr tracks Post by: Pandora on June 04, 2005, 07:26:19 PM Dave, I think everyone with a brain could figure out there would be no really new GN'R tracks. That's why I locked the other thread in the first place.
