Hi everyone... how are you doing guys?

This topic is specialy dedicated to those who Love animals, respect them and totally condemn the mistreat they have suffered by Humans so far...

In my case... I would like to make a special mention about some jerks who killed defenseless Seals with bats.... I think that is one of the most horrible   actions I could ever imagine...  If I'd have a chance... I would do the same with them... Lets create a conscience among all the people in this page...

And last but not least...  Remember, Animals feel too.

A friend of mine can call dolphins. By waving her head, shoulder, then arm at them.

I know someone who can do that with sharks....

dont get me wrong, im completely against animal cruelty, but i gotta have some meat now and them. like honesty, have you ever stared a cow in the eye?  :nervous:

I dont eat meat either, it was hard to stop but Im glad I did.

I love animals but I'm still going to eat them, I have respect for journey and D though, it must be hard.
Animals are still be killed so you might aswell eat the meat. The whole vegetarian thing has been explained to me many times by different people but I still can't really see where they're coming from or why they don't eat meat, is it just because they love animals? ???

I don't eat the meats of mammals and I find no difficulty. It has nothing to do with love or belief.
Simply I have a weak stomach. One day the thought of meat being dead body occurred to me and that's that.

So I'm not against meat eating as far as you don't waste meat/animals lives.

I love animals, but I'll never stop eating them. It's human nature, and they taste great.

  I understand not eating certain exotic or wild animals, that are hunted down, but think about it: if pigs,for example, wouldn't be eaten by humans, they would become extinct. Noone spends time and money feeding and looking after a pig just cause he's got a cute tail. 
  I know it sounds cold, but by eating certain domestic animals, you actually help the species.

Yea, true, most animals woldn't be as wide spread as they are if we dint eat them, aslong as the animal has a good life while alive I have no problem.

If people weren't meant to eat meat then why do we have our canine teeth? I don't agree with the hunting of animals to just kill them (and I would never go hunting myself) but if you hunt something (deer for example) with the intention of using it for food then thats ok with me. Cows, pigs and chicken are bred for eating. If we don't eat them then there will be a huge surplus in farm animals. ;D

I guess it would be cool if humans plan to have extra waste disposal areas for pigs to hang out in all day and I guess everyone who owns a house could get a cow or two to keep their grass short. But chickens, what do we do with them? They are not good for much but eggs and roasting .? :rofl:

Besides the only time farm animals smell good is when they are being cooked. :hihi:

Besides, for those of us who celebrate it, what would we eat on thanksgiving with no ham or turkey?

I know a couple of posters on this board cough Kujo cough SLC cough who would love a huge surplus of farm animals. :hihi:

I love my cat, Carmela, but she's always killing birds, rabbits and mice. I know it's her instinct, but it still upsets me. And she puts them very close to the house, so I can see them.? :nervous: But I guess all cats are like that.

It's in her instincts.? You are the head of the tribe or pride, or whatever a group of cats are called, and she wants to please you so she brings you food? :D It's a sign that she cares for and respects you.? I love cats, they are so cute.

BTW i have 2 cats one is named Meridian and the other is, can you guess it? her name is Neemo! Guess where my screen name comes from?

.... We "the people around the world" need to understand that Animals (A.):

1.- A. aren't in the world for our Amusement;
2.- A. aren't our Food (even when we have treated them like that);
3.- A. aren't Inferior to Us;
4.- A. aren't a way to get money;
4.- A. "feel" and feel our Mistreat;

These are the things that the World should understand in order to evolve and improve....

Yeah i agree killing animals is wrong, but they taste so good. And for me, its extremly hard to give up meat. :(

seriously, It's a matter of the custom.
I also find vegans tend to be a tad pigheaded.  They might be in short of vitamins.
So only with the spread of various tasty n well balanced no meat cookery, people's meat addiction will be gradually decreased.

I love dogs to death, the greatest allies a man like me could ever have. I have a yellow lab, her name is sadie. She's like my sister, very loyal to me . We have a relationship exactly like Han Solo and Chewbacca. I always call her my wookie. She's so friendly to people, even  very small kids. when I was in middle school, there was this kid that picked on me very terribly. I don't know why he was in my neighborhood , but he didn't know Sadie was my pet so he tried petting her when she was out front. She bites his hand , then his shin. As he was kneeling down in pain holding it , she snaps his face like a pair of scissors. It will always be a mystery how she knew I hated the kid, but she knew what she did was to defend me. It's very funny how she don't trust cats, she finds them very nosey and sneaky, it just irritates her like crazy. We were watching my cousin's cat when she was on vacation,  he was trying to go down our basement without being seen, but Sadie caught him and took a snap at  him. I'm not a cat person at all and I'm allergic to them , so maybe she can read my mind or something. She's definetly made to be with me, that's for sure.

What makes a dog mean, if you attack he/she like a human being. Don't kick ,use objects to hit, smack or punch the poor animal, a dog can't do that back!That's what turns the animal bad .

How you can dicipline a dog in some ways I know:

when walking the dog, if he/she pulls you , jerk the leash back and hold the snout, point at and say "no pull" or "bad dog."

Other ways to tell the dog is being bad: grab by the collar and shake for a few seconds. If the dog really crosses the line, this is the only way to hit if you need to, grab the snout and smack the nose firmly. For some reason they feel they're defensless to that action.

My dad is a vego BY FORCE.  He had a heart attack and they told him he had to stop eating red meat.  So he's a vegetairian now?! And I am aswell.... except I eat Chicken!! :)

Yeah, maybe he was, but he was being nice enough towards your dog.
It's just that if your dog bites a kid, she can do it again and next time it just might not be an asshole.

She's friendly towards other strangers, she wouldn't of bitten another kid, somehow she knew that certain kid was a jerk . Other than that, she's a great friend. You would understand  from my point of view.

This is a tough issue and there are many ways to view it.? What makes humans special?? What makes animals (including humans) unique from plants?? What makes all living things different from rocks?? Depending on how you view the issue and how much you've actually read on it you can provide a different answer.? I actually took 3 college courses debating this very issue and how humans are intertwined to the environment.? What seperates humans from every other creature on this planet is our ability to govern our actions.? No other creature can determine right or wrong or regulate itself.? When a lion is hungry it eats.? When a plant needs water its roots absorb moisture.?
? The entire argument can become very emotional with people not using logic or reason in the argument.? Many animals, such as cows, pigs and chickens are artifacts.? They don't exist in "nature" anymore.? Over thousands of years these animals have lost their natural abilities to survive in nature.? I don't advocate animal cruelty at all, but it's important to denote that cruelty is defined as gaining pleasure from the harm one causes to a thing.? Humanely killing livestock so that millions of people can eat each year is hardly inhumane or cruel.? Vegans and animal libers forget that it is improbable to switch to a society where we don't utilize animals.? What are we supposed to do, euthanize existing herds of livestock?? Interstingly enough, Peta euthanizes thousands of cats and dogs each year because they deem it the humane thing to do.? How is punching a steak through the neck of a cow killing it instantly worse for the call than injecting it with a serum??
? The entire issue is a moral one and I challenge those who advocate animal liberation and vegan principles to explain why humans shouldn't eat.? To claim that it is not natural is naieve and inadvertantly places humans on a unique pedistal that argues against the origianl point of equality.? If a wolf can eat meat, why can't I if we're equal?? To state that humans can control their actions is to concede the Kantian notion of humans uniqueness due to rationality.? Humans stem from the same "nature" as every other creature.? We evolved in a different aspect than other animals.? ?Our rationality and high intellect is important to our species just as a monkey's agility or cheetah's speed is important to its own species.? The word unnatural is an oxymoron and does not exist.? Everything we do and create is natural as it stems from our given abilities of higher thought.? We have in essence evolved into being the natural seers of the Earth and the first naturalist and environmental ethicist (Aldo Leopold) advocated that point.
? The above issue is fun to discuss, but interested parties should really read the philosophical works of those who have meditated on the issue.? It's interesting and humbling to say the least.

even how you put it, it's still wrong. That kid could've been wearing a purple dick-suit andf it wouldn't change a thing. A dog shouldn't bite unless it was protecting herself or her owner.

Sure, I've had a few occasions with my dogs, but they have never bitten anyone. When a dog growls and shows it's teeth it usually cools down the situation :)

Well my dog is pretty cool, its name is Nicolas, and he really likes to eat meat, but that is all he eats, sad but true :( sadly he is almost all the time alone, so when he goes out he is like a horse, and its a precious mixture between a cooker and a "chapi" hhehe...  I love animals, I hope you learn to love them too and treat them with the respect they need....

Animals are the last pure thing in the world besides nature, and we are killing both of them.... so lets take a time to understand them even if its hard to do....
