Title: Lordi
Post by: Hammy on May 31, 2005, 10:59:02 PM
Just picked up the album The Monsterican Dream by this band it's really good, they way they sound with their catchy choruses and they way they dress up they remind me of a more sadistic version of KISS.  The track Blood Red Sandman is the stand-out track, i can't wait to see them at Download this year, what does everyone else think of this band?

I'll reply!

I only just properly heard the song that they put in for the Eurovision, and I thought it was quality! Well, it was alright. No, it was a damn good!

Seriously though, it was alright.

(I loved it)

Anyway, now that you've had time to digest it, is it worth picking up an album? Or the album... I don't know how many they've done...............

They're kinda funny, but I'm surprised that people loved them. Not really mainstream.

Erm...I have never heard it on the radio. But when I used the word 'mainstream' I meant the way they look like. What makes a grandma vote for them?

They've probably been played on the radio to be honest.  Esp Finnish radio.

Yeah I understand the look thing, but I don't think you can discount something from being mainstream cos grannies don't like it.  That would discount most of today's mainstream sh1te, even RnB.

they kinda sound like Motorhead in a WWE mood

Not sure if thats good or bad....

I just love the drummer's look - leaves me in hysterics, this weird gorrilla creature smacking the kit - oh the mirth
