Title: Is This Rumor Dead?
Post by: jameslofton29 on May 16, 2005, 05:00:24 PM
When this website was down a little over a month ago, the best rumor we've heard in years came out. Axl had turned in 15 tracks to the record company. And no one has really said anything about it since. Was it confirmed bullshit? And why all the silence about it? No one mentions it. Its like when Jesus opens that seal and all the angels go silent.

Nope, it's too late now. Someone blabbed! Guess we'll have to wait another few years. :(

That rumor seemed shoddy to me. If they were in fact in the record companys hands, i think someone would find out about it. Sanctuary wants this to sell, not become some sacred artifact noone is allowed to see.

When are these rumors ever true?

The last time i remember some rumor like this coming true was GNR playing at the VMA's, and even then it was made up by someone that got lucky with his stories.

The deal covers both future material and catalogue. Rose's contribution to such hits as "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Paradise City" and "November Rain" are covered under the deal, as are dozens of new tracks Rose has recently recorded for Universal Music.

I think you always have to look several months ahead of the present time for a possible release. That is, if an announcement was made five minutes from now, the album would probably be out a few months after that. So we won't get CD during any of the traditional summer release times: Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc. Once again we're looking towards Christmas. God, how many times have we done this?
