Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Do any of you peeps dig Atreyu? They are a great band from Cali. They are hardcore yes. But then drummer who does the melodies rock. They are a huge fans of Guns N Roses, Crue, and Ratt. There stage presence too is a bit 80's they rock. Anyone Agree?

No. They're just another mediocre hardcore/metalcore band. I haven't heard anything impressive from them.

So I just heard "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" on the band's myspace page, and I have to say, I like it quite a bit.  It seems all the hardcore fans have hung the band out to dry on this album, but as a casual fan at best, I think it's a solid record.  I've never been a fan of the screamo scene, so the fact that that there's more singing and melody is fine by me. 

And "Blow" sounds like that ballsiest rock song I've heard in quite a while...check out that cowbell intro!  Anyone else listen yet?

Thanks for the laugh.   :hihi:  Very true, but again, I'm surprised by what I heard on the new album.  Less "raoraoraoraoroaroaroaroar," more cheesy guitar harmonies and melody. 

After listening to there latest album again. Its actually not that bad. A few parts still smell of emo.

But riff wise some good riffs, guitar solos are great.

and the album has arena rock HEYS which always makes me have a grin like jani lanes from the cherry pie video...  :hihi:

its ok. But the fans slate this album as selling out because they stopped all the lame ass RAORAROAROAROARO... shame.

if mrlee thinks an album is "not that bad" then it might be kickass in my ears, so i'll steal and check this album out

I guess when mrlee thinks an album is ok i can think it suck too, because  after having heard half of the album now, it pretty much sux, since the band's fans thinks they sold out i also stole their best of album to know a little of how they sounded before and if i might like that.. i used to listen a bit to this kind of music (that is a7x and bfmv) but if their "best of" is this bad i'll delete this shit fast :P or i might give it another listen in the upcoming days

i didnt get a best of cheapjon.

i got there paper sail or whatever its called album. There early stuff, i cannot tolerate with ARAOROAROA vocals!

i know man.. i said that i also got the best of album.. some songs on the paper album is ok/good, some really suck
