The venue seems nice as well. :D The venue is flat out amazing, The Cains Ballroom in Tulsa has been around forever. ?It's known as home of Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys and the birthplace of western swing. ?Tons of seminal acts have played there over the years. ?The Police, Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Adam and the Ants to name a few. It's probably most famous for hosting the Sex Pistols in 1979 on their only pre 96 American tour. ? They played there the night before they went to San Francisco which ended up being the last show they'd play with Sid Vicious. ?There's still a hole in the wall backstage that Sidney punched and left his initials. ?It went through an entire renovation about a year and half ago, bringing things up to date while still having that historical feeling. ?I've scene a bazillion shows there over the years and I still get the chills everytime I walk in, it just drips rock history. Seeing Zakk Wyldes Black Label Society there this Saturday, can't wait. He opened for some band called Galactic so that was mainly the fanbase attending. Mostly what looked to be Star Wars stuff was given out, not totally sure.
